COSTA-Esther A. (Vasil), 77, of 2 George Dudley, died of heart failure Tuesday in her home. Her husband of 53 years, Paul T. Costa Sr. died in 1995.

She leaves 3 sons. Dr. Paul T. Costa, Jr. of Baltimore.MD, Peter Costa of Wellesley, and Dr.

Mark E. Costa of Newton and 6 grandchildren, Nina. Lora and Nicholas Costa of Baltimore. Lucy Costa of Wellesley and Christopher and Julianna Costa of Newton. She was born in Webster, a daughter of the late Athanas and Mary (Cravaris) Vasil, and lived here 51 years.

She graduated from Bartlett High School and ecker Business College. She was one ot the first women professional raio broadcasters and had her own daily women's pro- ram on radio station WESO in Webster and outhbridge from 1954 to 1963. She Interviewed many famous personalities, including John F. Kennedy and Eleanor Roosevelt. After her radio career, she become a realtor, working for Morse Realty in Webster and then in ner own real estate business in Dudley.

Mrs. Costa was very active In civic Sroups, inuiuutntj mo vvwumor vvunien lub, the Webster-Dudley Historical Society, and she was an active member of Sts. Constantino Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Webster. She belonged to numerous community, environmental, and educational organizations. The funeral will be held Saturday (Feb.

7) at 9:15 a.m. from the Sitkowskt Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Webster with a service at 10:00 a.m. in Sts. Constantino Helen Greek Orthodox Church. 713 Lake Parkway, Webster.

Burial will be In Mt. Zion Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours are 2:30 to 4:30 and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A Tri-sagion Service will be prayed at 7:00 Friday evening.

On retirement she lived in Reading, until entering a nursing home. She is survived by three brothers Daniel, James and Alan, and eleven nieces and nephews.
