TEH THE BRYAN DAILY EAGLE. BRYAN, TEXAS SUNDAY. MARCH I. Rrooksmith Riles Todav At Kiirten A resident of Brazos county for 51 years, Fred Brocksmith 63, died Saturday morning at 7 in a local hospital. Mr.

Brocksmith was bom in Grimes county, March 28, 1893 but when a young lad came to this community. He was a farmer and a merchant and was a member of Bethel Lutheran church. His pastor, the Rev. W. C.

Petersen conduct the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. in the Bethel Lutheran church after which interment w'ill be made in the Kurten cemetery, under the direction of Hillier Funeral Home with six nephews serving as pall bearers, including Louis Kindt, Claude Brock- Donald R. Crawford, Franklin George. Joe Sikowski and Marvin Brocksmith. Survivors include eight sisters, Mrs.

Fritz Kehlenbrink, of Kurten, Miss Martha Brocksmith, Mrs. Robert Plagens, Mrs. Jack Crawford all of Houston, Mrs. Emma Muzzious, Denver, Mrs. Louise Cheddick of Austin, Mrs.

George Zell and Mrs. Lena Zimmerman of Chicago, four brothers, Henry Brocksmith of Anderson, Carl, Gus, and Herman Brocksmith of Kurten; two grandchildren, Mr. late wife, Mrs, Mittie Jane Brocksmith, and daughter, Mrs, Alice Joyce Keller, were killed January 31 this year in a car truck crash near Huntsville when bringing Mr. Brocksmith home from Ville Platte, where he had been under the care of a heart specialist. He was uninjured in the accident but was hospitalized in a local hospital for med- i ical observation for several days.

Dennis Poe Of ASC Dies In Mt. Vernon The offices of Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation at College Station was notified Saturday morning of the death of Dennis M. Poo, 62, who died suddenly at Mount Vernon Friday night.

Mr, Poe, production adjustment program specialist with ASC, reportedly was having dinner with the manager of the Franklin county office in Mount Vernon when he complained of not feeling well and died soon after having been advised to lie down for awhile. Funeral services will be held Monday in San and a number of employees of ASC with C. Carothers, state administrator, plan to attend the serv'ice and interment. Survivors include the wife who resided at the family home in San Antonio. nr.

Benbow Is Honored Dr, Robert Benbow, who was born and reared in Bryan and has been a practicing physician here for the past five years, was recently elected to membership in the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. The honor was bestowed at the meeting of the association in Dallas and later a formal notice of election sent to Dr. Benbow, For Classified 2-1336 POLICE HELP ESCAPE LITTLE ROCK. Mr. Saracho was a retired employee of the Texas College Farm and had lived for eleven years in Bryan, Survivors include one foster son, Domingo N. Avina of Benchley, and three foster daughters, Miss Cruz Avina and Mrs. Josephine Rueda of Benchley and Mrs. Natalie Garcia of Humble.
