J. society, Rally Day Held By HD Women County Home Demonstration women held their annual Rally Day Friday, at the First Baptist church here with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the program at 10 a a.m. Two Lasara 4-H girls, Sue Knox and Juanita Rowland presented the pledge of Allegiance. Group singing was led by Mrs.

Cruce Williams with Mrs. Gordon Scaggs, at the piano. Mrs. J. F.

Longpine gave the devotional. Mrs. Clinton Smith gave the welcome and Mrs. Billie Edgerton, the response. Mrs.

Byron Moore, Council Chairman, presided over the meeting. Guests were introduced, presidents from the different clubs of the county, the District Vice President, Mrs. Stanley Williams: T.H.D.A. Chairman, Mrs Ike Oakes; Council Chairman, Mrs. Byron Moore; Vice Chairman and Mrs.

A. C. Durivage were presented corsages. Mrs. Olan Harris from Homemakers Club was chosen Woman of the Year and presented a THDA pin from the County Council.

New Sorority Members Are Honored at Tea SAN BENITO Members of Epsilon Xi chapter, Beta Sigma the home of Woolam Phi sorority, entertained, Sunday in with a Preferential Tea in honor of the new members.

Special guests for the afternoon were members of Epision Xi Beta Zeta chapter, also of San Benito. Guests were greeted at the door by Mrs. Wesley Echols and Mrs. N. L.

Fox. The tea table in the dining room was laid with a cut work cloth of white linen and centered with yellow flowers. Mrs. Bill Daniels presided at the punch bowl and Mrs. John F.

Phillips, president, served the cake squares which were iced in white and topped with a yellow spun sugar rose. Assisting in the dining room were Mrs. Glenn Roney and Mrs. Chares McDougal. FIRST GA3-2230 Ki-Anns Meet In Schvab Home The monthly meeting of the East of Harlingen Ki-Anns was held recently in the home of Mrs. Otto with Mrs. George Fernandez, vice president, in charge. Mrs. George Ashley, president, who has been in the hospital, sent her thanks for all the cards and visits she had received.

She also thanked all those who helped on Pancake Day. After a short business meeting the group had a social hour of bridge games or sewing. Refreshments were served from a table centered with a large revolving Easter egg, topped with a bunny. The next meeting was set for Thursday. April 19, in the home of Mrs.

Dick Keiser, 1561 South Sam Houston drive. Two Host Meeting SAN BENITO Miss Nestora Lozano and Miss Herlinda Zepeda were hostesses when members of the St. Benedict's Catholic Women's club held their meeting recently. It was announced that the members would Pope's Storeroom next clothing, meeting April 13, in the home of Mrs. Carlos Lopez at 7:30 p.m.

It was voted to serve cake and chocolate for the children taking communion during the month. At the close of the meeting refreshments were served to 20 members present.
