An anonymous donor provided $130,000 for the business scholarship fund.

These scholarships will be provided to River Valley School District graduates to attend Lake Michigan College. There will initially be two scholarships, each equaling 12 credit hours and fees for each semester. Foundation officials said the number of scholarships may increase as the fund grows. The income from the endowment fund will be available to sustain the district's initiatives in perpetuity. Those initiatives will be determined by the district, foundation officials said.
