Telegbaph: In perusing the columns of the Evening Telegbaph of the 1st, I found an article headed "Who has the Sand?" which was printed in the Millersburg Herald.

In reply to that I would say that the P. R. R. B. B.

C. sent a challenge to the Millersburg base ball club to play a game of base ball on Augast 3d for a prize of $25 a side, the game to be played on the Duncannon grounds, and we have not as yet received any answer to it. Now who is it that 'lacks sand We had nothing to do whtaever with the other clubs with whom they corres ponded, but sent our challenge on July za ana asKea mem to put up tbe money not later than August 1st. As they neither put up the money nor answere us, you can plainly see that it is they who must "shut up." We will still hold the challenge open until August 13th, but will not play them on their own grounds, tor reasons which it is not necessary to specify. We can then show them that I we "carry the necessary sand" to tackle i those "nayfeeds.
