History's Great Climax. Ransack history from end to end and no greater, more terrible or more important his torical event than the Siege of Sebastopol would be hard to find. So thrilling are all the incidents connected with the fall of the stronghold that Pain's immense production that is based on the event is looked upon as one of the most aptly chosen of all the many subjects that have been made use of for simi lar exhibitions. In the Siege of Sebastopol there are all the grand military movements that are at all times interesting. The charges, repnlses and rallies of the infantry and cavalry evoke burst npon burst of ap plause, while the sullen roar of the cannon, both on land and water, add to a scene the like of which has never been achieved in any mimic representation.

And this is not all, the huge forts, exact representations of edifices supposed to be the strongest of the kind that have done defiance to friend and foe, will fairly bristle with its rows of cannon, make a central picture of the bombardment that are awe inspiring in the extreme.
