(Staff Photo) if The Fort Brown Memorial ter in Brownsville was the scene! of a gala holiday festivity for the: high school and college set when the Lower Valley Cotillion Club! entertained Wednesday night with its annual Christmas dance. The huge auditorium was transformed into a Christmas wonderland for the occasion.

Glittering I castles floating on large pink clouds w-ere used on the stage where the Jake Stevens orchestra of Corpus Christi furnished the dance music. On the side opposite mammoth candles reached from floor to ceiling surrounded by pink clouds. Twinkling pink lights throughout the room added a soft glow to ihe setting, enhanced by the billowy formals of the girls. The sparkle and glamour of the evening was enjoyed by approximately 350 members, guests and board members of the Lower Valley Cotillion Club. Punch was served throughout the evening and a buffet supper at midnight climaxed the holiday! affair.
