One of the most interesting marriages of the season in this city took place Wednesday morning at seven when the lives of Mr. James Stanton and Miss Thelma both of this city, were united in holy wedlock in the home of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B.

Miss Lula Corruthers played the wedding march and furnished a sweet soft strain throughout the ceremony. D. Nicholson visited relatives at Yarrelton Sunday. Candidates have been frequent visitors to us but after Saturday we fear they shall dis- contiune their pleasant calls. game in a home. More than five hundred people are reported to have been in attendance, and the opinion with many is that this strong, sincere, forceful speech endorsing Ball as the right man for the position of Governor of Texas, has won for him many votes in this community.
