A dare-devil feat -was performed Isst Sunday by Charlie Montgomery when he climbed a twenty-five foot telegraph pole, without spikes, balanced himself for but a moment on the cross-bar and dov neatly into the Ottawa river below. The feat was witnessed and admired by a large number oj spectators gathered on the beach at Clarella Park for their afternoon' dip.
