At 12:01 a.m. today, city police charged Brian J. Noblitt, 18, New Goshen, with illegal consumption of alcohol and public intoxication. He remained in jail this morning on $500 bond. Donald E.

Dawson, 44, Appleton, was charged at 9:15 p.m. Monday by city police with public intoxication. He remained in jail this moming on $300 bond. Kevin L. Lankford, 24, 1520 Main was booked into jail at 10 a.m.

Monday on a warrant issued from Knox County Superior Court II, charging him with theft. He was released from jail on $1 ,000 bond. All charged are scheduled to appear Jan. 25 in Superior Court II. Complaints Jill Lopez, Fort Knox Road, told police someone vandalized her mailbox.

Shawna Jewel, 1227 Seminary reported the theft of a number of jewelry items from her home that have an estimated value of more than $2,000. Jennifer Mills, Flat Rock, told police someone stole a radar detector and two boxes filled with cassette tapes from her car while it was parked at Wal-Mart, 2655 N. Sixth St. William Morris, 1401 Frazier told police that at 8:20 p.m. Monday, a two-tone tan van drove to his home.

The sliding door of the van opened and several shots were fired by the occupants at the top of the house or over the roof. The van left the area then turned south onto 15th Street. It stopped and the occupants spoke with two people in the 2100 block of south 15th Street. Several more shots were fired into the air. The van had windows around it and a ladder on the back door.

Aric Boyd, 210 W. Lyndale reported the theft of a stereo from his home. A Bridgeport, woman was hospitalized after an accident hich resulted in a great deal of property damage. At 12:43 pjn. Monday, a car driven by Lillie V.

Nestleroad, 71, Bridgeport, struck a parked truck registered to Progressive Glass Service, 914 N. Seventh that was parked at the business, the Vincennes Police Department said. The car had exited the car wash at 917 N. Seventh and its accelerator stuck, police said. The car crossed Seventh Street and went onto the parking lot at the business.

After the initial impact ith the truck, the car bounced off the vehicle and hit another parked truck registered to Paul E. Devin Bridgeport, 111. The Devin truck then hit a parked truck registered to and Rentals, Flat Rock, and came to rest after it hit the building. Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000 each to the car and the Devin truck; between $1 ,000 and $2,500 each to the and Rentals truck and the building and at less than $750 to the Progressive Glass truck. Nestleroad was treated for a cut on her nose at Good Samaritan Hospital and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

A truck driven by Lena M. Roth, 69, Olney, 111., and a car driven by Louanna M. Auberry, 44, 210 S. 14th collided at 3:17 p.m. Monday at Sixth Street and Old Wheatland Road, city police said.

Roth was charged with disregarding an automatic signal, police said. Damage was estimated at less than $750 to the truck and between $750 and $1,000 to the car. Other accident Cars driven by Pamela R. Patrick, 44, 905 Buntin and Lelia A. Hooten, 64, Bicknell, collided at 12:29 p.m.

Monday on Hart Street, about 25 feet east of Eighth Street, city police said. Both cars were westbound on Hart Street when the Hooten car attempted to turn right onto an alley, police said. Patrick told police the Hooten car went left of center and she attempted to pass it on the right, according to the accident report. Damage was estimated between $750 and $1,000 to the Patrick car and between $1 ,000 and $2,500 to the Hooten car. Fire The Vigo Township Volunteer Fire Department was called at 1:09 pjn.

Monday to the home of David and Jan Crowe in Ragsdale. The Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Bicknell Fire Department assisted in putting out the blaze which engulfed the home's kitchen in flames. Crowe and his neighbor attempted to put out the fire before it got out of control but their efforts were stymied because water service was out in the area, according to WTVFD Assistant Chief Dave Clark. The fire started in the basement then spread through the kitchen floor, Clark said. The cause of the fire is believed to be tape wrapped around a hot water pipe in the basement to keep it from freezing.

Damage was estimated at $40,000. Arrests Michael C. Whitson, 19, Church Street, was charged at 2:20 a.m. today by county and state police with battery, illegal consumption of alcohol, public intoxication, two counts of resisting law enforcement and criminal mischief. He remained in the Knox County jail this morning on $2,300 bond.

Gregory L. Foskuhl, 25, Anderson, was charged at 3:15 a.m. today by city police with public intoxication and resisting law enforcement. He remained in jail Lawrence safety forces Lawrenceville man uninjured in car-deer collision 5:45 pjn. CST Monday on U.S.

50 in Bridgeport Township. No other details regarding the accident were available. Sheriffs Department accident report, a car driven by Michael K. Seed, 38, Rt. 1, received more than $500 damage when it collided with a deer at LAWRENCEVILLE, 111.

A rural Lawrenceville man escaped injury in a single-car accident Monday. According to a Lawrence County Lawrence Boyd Small of Monroe City; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A son is deceased. The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. George Leon Lyle LAWRENCEVILLE, 111. George Leon Lyle, 82, Fort Wayne, died at 2:30 p.m.

Sunday at his residence. Born Feb. 14, 1911, in Steward, he was the son of Earnest and Addie (Wallace) Lyle. He lived most of his life in Fort Wayne and for 47 years, worked for Indiana Construction Company as a carpenter. He retired in 1974.

He was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving are his first wife. Myrtle Lyle Ingram; his present wife, Mary Lyle; a son, Michael Lyle of Beaumont, Texas; three daughters, Alice Grancy of Fort Wayne, Teletha Foster of Indianapolis, and Lucy Dowling of Bell Garden, three brothers, L.G. Lyle of Knoxville, and James and Lonnie Lyle of Lawrenceville; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A son is deceased.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. CST Friday at Emmons-Macey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Friends may call from noon CST until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Henry H.

III. Gladys E. Allen. 76, Noble, died at 2 p.m. CST Monday at her home.

She was born Aug. 15. 1917. in Petty Township, the daughter of Earl and Zella Agnes (Calvert) Lancaster. She was an LPN and member of First Christian Church of Olney and the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are four sons, Morris B. Allen of Wheeler, Richard J. Allen of Valparaiso, Timothy Armstrong of Lowell, and Gary Lee Allen of Kentucky; two daughters. Alma Tovo of Dundas and Georgia Ann Rohweeder of Salk Village. three brothers, Everett Lancaster of Olney and Paul and Gilvie Lancaster, both of Sumner; a sister, Laura Hopkins of Bicknell, 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Her husband, William Everett Allen died in 1980. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. CST Thursday at Sivert-Macey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Petty Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m.

CST Wednesday at the funeral home. Mary Dale Martin BRIDGEPORT, III. Mary Dale Martin, 88, Red Hills Healthcare Center in Sumner, died at 1 1 p.m. CST Sunday at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov.

29, 1905, in Bridgeport, the daughter of Albert and Addie Martin. She was a member of First Christian Church in Bridgeport. Surviving are a sister, Imogene Worstell of Sumner. The graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m. CST Monday at Bridgeport City Cemetery.

Cunningham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Gladys Rock BRUCEVILLE Gladys Rock, 93, Bruceville, died at 8 p.m. Sunday at Crestview Convalescent Center. She was born Sept. 18, 1900, in Knox County, the daughter of Charles and Lillian Cummings.

For 18 years, she was the assistant postmistress for the Bruceville Post Office. She was affiliated with Bruceville Christian Church. Surviving are a grandson, Rodney Fox of Elon College, N.C., and three great-grandchildren. Her husband, James Rock, died in 1962. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m.

Wednesday at Bruceville Cemetery, the Rev. Glenn Turner officiating. Friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday at McClure Funeral Home in Bruceville. Sue Kofoed BICKNELL Sue Kofoed, 85, formerly of Bicknell, died at 9 p.m.

Sunday at North Broward Hospital in Pompano Beach, Fla. Born Oct. 10, 1908, she was the daughter of Jack and Rose (Daviess) Ogilvie. She had lived in Pompano Beach for the past 25 years and had also lived in Chicago. Surviving are a daughter, Jacqueline Denkman of Atlanta, a son, Russell Kofoed Jr.

of Wilmette, and seven grandchildren. Her husband, Russell Kofoed, died in 1977. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

1 Bridgeport, died at 7:55 p.m. CST Monday at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 24, 1909, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Jackson and Ethel (Land) Walters. He retired from Marathon Oil Company after 33 years of employment and was the former secretarytreasurer of the Heart of America Polled Hereford Association.

He raised registered polled Hereford cattle and was a member of the Illinois Polled Hereford Association. Surviving is his wife, Cletis (Fiscus) Walters, whom he married Dec. 22, 1933. Four brothers and three sisters are deceased. The funeral will be at 11 a.m.

Jeffrey Wayne Howder Jeffrey Wayne Howder, 31, 1518 Wheeler died at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Feb. 4, 1962, in Vincennes, the son of John and Carmi (Williams) Howder. He was a production worker for Goodwill Industries and coached Softball.

Surviving are his mother of Vincennes; two sisters, Cindy Howder and Rita Stroud, both of Vincennes; and two brothers, John Howder of Vincennes, and Doug Howder of Lawrenceville, 111. Arrangements are pending at Brockman and Son Funeral Home. Herbie Wyatt PETERSBURG Herbie Wyatt, 74, Petersburg, died at 7:18 p.m. Saturday at Lawn Wood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, Fla. She was born Aug.

1, 1919, in Knox County, the daughter of Herbert and Lora (Lawning) Small. For 35 years, she worked for Wyatt Seed Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Petersburg and a lifetime member of Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a resident of Fort Pierce, Fla. Surviving are her husband, Delmas Wyatt; two daughters, Carla Brown and Sharon "Petie" Mahoney, both of Petersburg; and a brother, Police continue search for suspect Local police continue to search for a man who robbed Harold's Dixie Plaza supermarket, 1015 S.
