L. Massie home, 2027 Main, was the scene of a miscellaneous shower Thursday evening honoring Mrs.

Otey Kressenberg, who before her recent marriage was Miss Opal White. Mrs. Massie and Miss Lois Stewart were joint hostesses. Sewell, who is in charge of entertainment for boys at the new Victory Field Cadet Club, 1616 Fannin Street, has requested that all girls who arc interested in assuming assistant hostess duties at the club, register there Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Sewell and Mrs. Hub Colley will be at the club Sunday afternoon to accept registrations of girls. The duties of the girls will be to help entertain the ca- dcts when they come to the club.

Vaughn of Bailey, formerly of Oklaunion, to Jack Pettigrew of Vernon, son of Mr, and Mrs. H. E. Pettigrew of Bonham. The marriage was solemnized in the sanctuary of the Presbyterian Church Tuesday evening, with Rev.

J. Albert Steele, minister, reading the vows. The bride was attractively attired in a blue Sangutlin suit, with which she wore a white blouse and black accessories. Ilcr only ornament was a rhinestone clip on her coat lapel. Baskets of deep red roses decorated the church sanctuary.

Mrs. Pettigrew was graduated I from Oklaunion High School and Mary Hardin Baylor College at Belton. She is now employed at Ladies' Store, and I was formerly employed as an instructor in Oklaunion schools.
