'Impressive' Work by Styx CORNERSTONE By Styx S-C Record Review By RICK PATTERSON Styx comes up with some impressive work on their 'Cash' Suit Singer Johnny Cash is being sued for $510,000 for failure to appear at a concert in Iowa. (AP) new LP titled Most Styx albums are traditionally different with every release; this one is the exception. They have softened the pace by slowing the tempo down with this release. As usual, Dennis De Young stands alone with his piercing vocals that seem to soar above all the i instruments in the band. "Why Me?" is an interesting cut on side one, with the use of saxophones and strings.

DeYoung does an outstanding job on this cut, alternating vocal work with instru- ments. "Why Me' is a definite single pick for AM radio, a -soft vocal ballad that really lays you back. "Never Say Never" and "Love in Midnight" are both equally well done. Production on the LP is up to par as it is on most Styx LPs. This LP is different than what you may be used to from Styx, but it is good and definitely worth checking into.
