Pfc. and Mrs. Ralph Jones are spending his 36 day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.

M. Jones. Pfc. Jones has been stationed for the past several months at Masters Field, Miami, Florida. When his leave is up he will be sent to El Toro, California to await hb overseas assignment.

4dr Farmers in Rosebud Area Treated At Recent Barbecue The third and last in a series of barbecues complimenting Rosebud farmers in the Rosebud area was held in the American legion park Thursday night, with 300 attending. The first barbecue, held July 15 had an attendance of around 400, the second, July 21, was attended be 300. The Rosebud Chamber of Commerce members were hosts and provided tickets for guests without cost. These barbecue get-togethers with Rosebud business and professional men, and farmers of that section have become annual affairs, promoting good fellowship and visiting, and stimulating friendship. Entertainment was a string band and a program of Boy Scout work, with Scoutmaster T.

Stubbs, directing. Den 2 Enjoys Judge Melons On Thursday afternoon, July 28, the cubs of Den 2 met in the back yard of their Den Mother, Mrs. Bill Wallace, assisted by Mrs. W. A.

L. Robinson. The Cubs enjoyed a treasure hunt after the usual business meeting. After a very entertaining and rather difficult search the buried treasure was uncovered. The treasure was individual Smokey Bear Forest Ranger Kits.

Each Cub was pledged to be a Junior Forest Ranger, where upon the story of how Smokey the Bear came to be a national figure in the lives of the American children, was told by the Den Mother. In addition to their planned picnic lunch the members of Don 2 were pleasantly surprised with two ice cold watermelons presented to them by Judge 0. D. Graham. All Cubs were present and three guests, Bobby and Jeffery Nelson and Eugene Wallace.

Plans for August were discussed with the theme being Outdoor Picnic.
