During the social hour of the afternoon Mrs. A. L. whose home burned recently, was given a miscellaneous shower. A playlet in the form of an executive meeting of the officers of the year, was given.

UN were inspecting flooded basements and sidewalks were covered with silt today after a terrific rain yesterday. Five and one-half inches fell within a few hours, and by night the business district was flooded, with water over the curbs. At the height of the storm Mrs. 'J. Miracle was shockcd by a lightning bolt in the bedroom of her home, Her right side was partially paralyzed.
