Death Record V. A retired mlneworker and Jesse V. Mathers, tbf the Bish Rest Home, Templeton RD 2, died in Brookville yesterday, after a week's illness. lie was formerly of Garfield New Bethlehem, and was 'born in Fisher, on May 15, "188G, the son of Samuel P. and Jane (Platt) Mathers.

1 Mr. Mathers was married in New Bethlehem in December, 1909 to iva I. Billiard, who died in September of 1969. He served as a civilian construction worker for the government in the South Pacific and Hawaii for over two years. At home, he was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 923, the First a i Church in New Bethlehem, New Bethlehem and AM, and the Coudersport Consistory.

Mr. Mathers is survived by: daughter, Mrs. Leonard Slagle of Augusta, son, John H. Mathers of three sisters, all ipf Oregon, Mrs. T.

0. (Alice) Sanders, Mrs. Evelyn Schnoerr, Gladys Dobson; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. j'-Three son's, Wesley Rayburn, Lloyd, and William 'preceded their father in death. MATHERS Friends of Jesse Mathers, who died July 17, will be received after 7 p.m.

Thursday (July 20). Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. Arrangements by Bauer. Herman Leroy Allshouse Herman Leroy Allshouse, 80, of 254 Union Way, Kittanning, died at 7:15 p.m. Monday in his home.

Mr. Allshouse, a retired coal 7 niner, was a member of Wilson Avenue Church of God. Born Feb. 23, 1892 in Ixnvellville, Ohio, he was a son of Elmer and Alice (Sy fieri) Allshouse. Surviving are his wife, Esther (Bechtel) Bowser Allshouse; five daughters, Mrs.

Edith Culver of Warren, Ohio, Mrs. Ruby Bixby of Midland, Mrs. Ethe! Raymer of Kittanning, Mrs. Betty Anthony, North Bloomfield, Ohio, Mrs. Mildred Mansfield of Romulus, two sons, Kenneth of Belleville, Fred of Ohio; four step sons, Lawson Bowser of Burghill, Ohio, Owen Bowser, of Kittanning, James Bowser of Philadelphia, Charlie Lee Bowser of Portland, two step daughters, Mrs.

Fanny Striker of Lincoln Park, Mrs. Velda Schaul of Blairsville; two brothers, Henry Allshouse of Summerville, Joseph Allshouse of Perryopolis; a sister, Mrs. Mary Young of Pittsburgh; 48 grandchildren. A daughter, Elsie Gillam, two brothers and two sisters are deceased. A Friends of Herman Leroy Allshouse, who died July 17, 1972, will be received at the Merwin- Kennedy Funeral Home, KittaunJng, after 7 touight.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, conducted by his pastor the Rev. Richard Molgaard. The Rev. John Woods and the Rev.

Troopers said Karns struck an embankment after being forced off the road by an unidentified vehicle. The accident resulted in $500 damage to his 1972 car. William K. Flick, of 428 Union Kittanning, injured Saturday in a fight at a North Grant Avenue Hotel is in satisfactory condition today with a concussion at the a A i i a i Hospital, Oakland, a hospital official said. Kittanning police said questioning of hotel personnel and customers present during the incident elicited no details about the fight.

Police Chief William Gallaher said the incident was over by the time officers arrived at the scene and that' there were conflicting reports as to whether the fight was a large battle or just a few quick punches. He said another man also injured during the incident has volunteered little information. Police said they are waiting for Flick's release from. the hospital to question him. Grandview Chapel Folk Schedule Outdoors Meet Members of Grandview Chapel, East Kittanning, will be conducting an open-air meeting and will baptize all those interested.

Truck Damages Auto Backing Onto Street Kittanning police said today an automobile owned by David L. Cox, Kittanning RD 2, was damaged to an estimated extent of $100 when bumped yesterday morning by a truck backing from a parking place in the 200 block of Market St. here. Authorities said the truck was licensed to Clyde Frampton, Templeton RD 1. Damage on the parked automobile was at the left rear fender.

Doctor Says Harry Truman In Great Shape I Mo. (UPI)--Former President ry Truman, who was released from Research Hospital in Kansas City Monday after a day stay for digestive trouble, jjs in excellent shape for an W- year-old man, his doctor says', Dr. Wallace Graham, Truman's physician since the 33rd President's days in the House, said there has been rto deterioration of Truman's gastrointestinal system since he was first hospitalized for ttje ailment in January of 1970. At that time he spent 12 days in the hospital. Truman told Graham daily he wanted to go home, but his actual departure Monday wai? delayed for some final tests.

At 2:30 p.m. Truman walked out a rear doorway and. stepped into a waiting car. He was then driven 15 miles to his 100-year-old frame home in Independence. North Water Alley Scene of 2-car Crash Kittanning police saict Frederick D.

Elwood, 21, of Kittanning and John Michael Ballock, 25, of Ford City RD 1 were involved in an accident yesterday afternoon behind Brown's Boot Shop on N. Water Alley. Police, said Elwood was backing out of a blind alley behind the boot shop while Ballock was traveling up the alley, and neither driver saw the other car until a collision couldn't be avoided. Damages were at $147 to the Elwood car and $300- to the Ballock car.
