Spiek Joseph T. Spick, 51, of Meadow Ford City, died Tuesday (Oct. 28, 19(59) at 2:41 p.m. in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning. He was horn Jan.

2, 1918 in Homestead, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Constant Spiek. His parents were born in Poland. He was a resident of Ford City for 23 years.

He was a cost accountant supervisor at the PPG Industries plant in Ford City. He was a member of the National Accounting Association of Butler; St. Francis de Paul Church; Ford City American Legion Post. He was a first lieutenant in the U. S.

Army in World War II. He is survived by his wife Valeria (Pasternak) Spick; two sons, Dennis and Richard and a daughter, Janice, all at home. He is also survived by his parents, Constant and Mary Spiek of Homestead; and three sisters, Mrs. John (Jane) Radischowsky of Munhall; Mrs Frank (Hester) Boris of Munhall; and Mrs. Larry (Rae) Albiez of Pleasant Hills.

SI'IEK Friends of Joseph T. Spick of 232 Meadow Ford City, who died Tuesday, Oct. are being received at the Frank M. Faykosh Funeral Home, Ford City. Services will take place at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Tors, who appeared in the films, "Knickerbocker Holiday," "Gog," and "Blind Stop," died at UCLA Medical Center Tuesday as a result of a heart attack. PORTLAND, Ore. (UPI)-Ernest Smith, who came to the University of Portland after compiling a fine record as basketball coach at the University of Albuquerque, died Tuesday before the start of his first season here. He was 40.

Smith was found at his home in nearby Greshman by his children when returned home from, school. He was believed to have suffered a heart attack while preparing his breakfast, but an autopsy was scheduled. NEW YORK (UPI)-Leo Rosenthal, a Latvian lawyer and journalist who. made his third career as a photographer for the United Nations 24 years ago, died Tuesday at his home here. He was 85 years old.
