April 21.1973--5 Off-cuff Remark Leads to Romance Spunky Actress Wins Beau Defending Her Own Honor II III Playhouse 90' CBS has acquired for its "Playhouse 90" schedule for next season the video rights to "Catholics," a forthcoming novel by Brian Moore. It deals with a dispute between the Vatican and an Irish monastic settlement over the fact that some monks are celebrating Mass in Latin instead of the prescribed English. DORIAN GRAY (Shone Briant) stands in front of his newly completed portrait, a painting that will soon begin to reflect his evil bargain in the "Picture of Dorian Gray," a new adaptation of the classic to be seen on the late-night series, "ABC Wide Worjd of Entertainment" on two successive nights, Monday, April 23 and Tuesday, April 24 after the late movie on Channel 4. Sometimes one incident tells just about all one needs to know about a person. A case in point is Bennye Gatteys, who recently joined the cast of "Days of Our lives." She appears as Susan Martin, medical clinic operator, in the daytime series, which is colorcast on the NBC Television Network Mondays-Fridays (2 to Three months ago Bennye decided to take a day off from her classes at Theater West, improvisational drama group in Hollywood.

She was tired, having taken both voice and dance lessons during the day. With a magazine for a companion, Bennye went to a restaurant. She ordered dinner and, with it, a glass of wine. She opened her magazine but before plunging into it swung her gaze around the room. At a nearby table she noticed "the cutest fellow" looking at her and smiling faintly.

She smiled back faintly and began to read, while intermittently sipping her wine. The fellow was accompanied by another young man about his age and an older woman. DAYTIME VISITOR-- Bennye Gatteys appears as Susan Martin, operator of a medical clinic, in "Days of Our Lives," the daytime series. "He was so cute," Bennye recalled, "but what could I do, write him a mash note?" She didn't do anything. By this time dinner was served to her and she resumed reading.
