Born in Newton, he was a graduate of Watertown High School and lived most of his life in Water-town. He moved to Wakefield 12 years ago. Though he had not worked for the past 10 years because of illness, Mr.

Mann had operated his company. Painting With Hues Co. from 1950 until 1975. He leaves his wife, Pauline (Muse) of Wakefield; two daughters. Judith Lombardi of North Andover and Karen Griffin of Littleton, N.H.; a brother, Charles Mann of New Hampshire; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held today at 10 a.m. in the Donald J. MacDonald Son Funeral Home, Main street, Watertown. Burial will be in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown. slopes, pool, tennis, onsite.

Dr.

Tudor had been chief of staff at Milton Hospital for several years and was the Norfolk County medical examiner more than 20 years. A graduate of Harvard University in 1930, he graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1933. Dr. Tudor, a resident of Milton more than 40 years, was a Red Cross volunteer. He was a member of the St.

Bo-tolph Club of Boston and of the Fox Club of Cambridge. He was a boating and photography enthusiast. Dr. Tudor leaves two daughters, Rosamond vander Linde of Old Bennington, Vt, and Mary Tudor of Seattle; two sons, Frederic Tudor of Tokyo and Robert of New York City; a sister, Tasha Tudor of Vermont; and 12 grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted in St.

Botto, 48. of West Peabody, an executive in the offices of Blue Cross-Blue Shield in Boston for the past 20 years, died Saturday in the Exeter Hospital.

Exeter, N.H.. after suffering a heart attack. Born in Boston, Mr. Botto was raised and educated in Lynn. He was a graduate of Northeastern University.

Mr. Botto was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Nahant and was a coach in the West Pea-body Little League and in the Pea-body Youth Hockey program. An Air Force pilot from 1955 until 1959, and a private licensed pilot, Mr. Botto also was a member of the Beverly Airport Pilots' Group. He leaves his wife, Patricia A.

(Lavoie) Botto of West Peabody: a son. Robert C. of West Peabody and a daughter, Barbara A. Botto, both of West Peabody: a brother, Jerry Botto of Wakefield: his mother. Beatrice (Lavino) Botto of Lynn and several nieces and nephews.

For more or Chatham areas, private Ex-Secret Service agent; at 80 Henry J. Nicholson, 80. of Milton, a former Secret Service agent who guarded Presidents Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower, died of cancer Sunday in his home.

Mr. Nicholson retired in 1959 after almost two decades as a Secret Service agent. A Boston College graduate, he attended Williston Academy and St. Anselm's Preparatory School in New Hampshire. He lived in Washington for 22 years and was assistant special agent in charge of the White House in the Truman and Eisenhower years.

During World War II. Mr. Nicholson was assigned as head of a unit ordered to protect the Norwegian royal family when they came to Cooks Hill, during the German occupation of their homeland. Because of his service to the royal family, Mr. Nicholson was knighted in 1946 by King Haakon as a Knight of St.

Olaf. He held the special title of Sir Henry. After his retirement, he moved to Milton, where he lived for the past 26 years. He leaves his wife. Johanna (Vaughan) Nicholson of Milton: a son, John, of Quincy; and two daughters, Ann V.

Nicholson of Norwood and Mimi Nicholson Jones of Needham. A funeral Mass will be said in St. Gregory's Church, Dorchester, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery, Mattapan. HAMPTON BEACH.

John Stanhope, 61 Teacher at Wentworth LUNENBURG John A. Stanhope 61, a teacher in the architectural department at Wentworth Institute in Boston and in the vocational education department of the Boston Public Schools, died of cancer Friday in Leominster Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Stanhope taught at Wentworth since 1970 and in the Boston schools since 1968. An Army veteran of World War II, Mr.

Stanhope was a professional builder and a member of the Carpenters Local 40 in Fitchburg. He also was a member of the Deering Lodge of Masons in Portland, Maine, and of the Aleppo Temple Shrine in Wilmington and the Shrine band, also in Wilmington. He leaves his wife, Margaret (Hunt) of Lunenburg: two sons, John A. Jr. of Windsor Locks.
