McLean Globe Staff Robin Young, onetime distaff half of the WNEV-TV "million dollar" news anchor team, launches her new career as special projects reporter-producer with tonight's "Robin Young Profiles People Who Make a Difference," at 9 on Channel 7. Former Bruins superstar Bobby Orr, actor Robert Duvall, a Cambridge family of rambunctious, adoptive blra-cial children and Boston's paramedics are spotlighted in this, the first of four prime-time specials. Orr talks of his new life as a businessman with a special sideline, Duvall discusses his theatrical career and his award-winning role in "Tender Mercies." The Young series format, in-depth interviews, conducted on location, is best exemplified by the Orr segment, a video trek via ice plane, snowmobile and dogsled, to a remote Canadian community. While his colleague works with the adult townspeople, Orr conducts sports and hockey clinics for the youngsters of the area.

Working with young persons, he says, is a most-rewarding way to repay for the success and enjoyment he achieved from hockey. Monday spells Marathon and all three Boston network channels, 4,5,7, will telecast the annual sports spectacular live, beginning at 11:30 a.m., concluding with finish-line coverage and post-marathon special reports into mid-afternoon. WNHT-TV (Ch. 21), Concord. N.H., the region's newest televsion station, signs on Monday at 6 a.m.

with a mixed format of syndicated series, local shows and the Financial News Network (FNN), recently departed from Boston's wgTV-TV (Ch.68). The Ch. 21 signal will reach 90 percent of the Granite State's TV homes, and beam as far south as Burlington, Mass. and east to York County, Maine. Tonight's Palm Sunday TV fare, marking the start of Holy Week, including the biblical film epic "The Ten Commandments," at 7 p.m.

on Ch. 5, and the start of the three-night encore of the 1980 made-for-TV "Jesus of Nazareth," at 8 on Ch. 4. Boston's three network stations. Channels 4, 5 and 7 will cover the entire Boston Marathon Monday from Hopkinton to the Prudential Center 11:30 a.m.
