Main 821-2050 "The Ropers," a six-episode comedy limited series starring Norman Fell and Audra Lindley as Stanley and Helen Roper, will air on the ABC Television Network, beginning Tuesday, March 13 p.m.) immediately following "Three's Company" on that date. In this spinoff from the hit ABC series, "Three's Company," narrow-minded Stanley and his romantically frustrated wife, Helen, sell their apartment building, move away from their tenants, Jack, Chrissy and Janet, buy a condominium townhouse, and take up a new life as householders. "There has been a tremendous public response to the Ropers from the beginning of 'Three's Company'," explained Marcia Carsey. "We feel that this series will have a comic personality all its own, and be a good vehicle to further develop the characters of Stanley and Helen Roper." In "The Ropers," Helen will become a social climber and Stanley will become the enemy of his snobby next door neighbors, played by Jeffrey Tambor and Patricia Mc-Cormack, who think that Stanley will downgrade the neighborhood.

Both "Three's Company," and Its spinoff, "The Ropers," are derived from the highly successful British television series, "A Man About the House," and its spinoff, "George and Mildred." Executive producers of "The Ropers" are Don Nicholl, Michael Ross and Bernie West. George Sunga is producer for this production of the NRW Company In association with T.T.C. Productions, Inc.
