Luncheons. Christmas colors and ideas prevailed at an attractive luncheon at the West hotel Wednesday, with Mrs. J. W. McGraw and Mrs.

Max McGraw, hostess. The centerpiece and-place favors were roses, the gifts of Mrs. R. W. Clark and Mrs.

L. S. Johnson. After the menu the hours were spent The members of the Fortunia club and a few intimate friends of Mrs. George Cord were her guests Monday at 1 o'clock luncheon at ther Mondamin -hotel." Red satin ribbons were stretched -from an attractive centerpiece of poinsettias, to thtrtsomers of the table.

The place cards; candelabra and bonbons completed the brilliant red effect. In the afternoon the tests, at which Miss Pearl Pool and Miss Maggie Dineeh captured the prizes. After a dainty luncheon, served by the hostess and Mrs.J E. G. Straub, Miss Straub was the recipient of a hosiery shower.

Servls entertained at tea Tuesday afternoon. Her guests were Mrs. A. J. More, Mrs.

F. C. Thomp-kins, Mrs. John Hornick and Miss Patterson. Miss Hazel Straub was complimented guest Monday at an evening company, given by Miss Alice Seilon, at the home of Mrs.

a heart contest, which resulted in favor of Miss Sarah Hasselback and Mrs. Stebbin, who presented their favors to Miss Straub. After the menu, in which the chosen colors were carried out, the guests received booklets, tied with green and white ribbons and sealed with a gold in which each wrote advice and good wishes. The dainty books were presented to Miss Straub. who read the contents.

A basket cart filled with handkerchiefs was presented to Miss Straub. 'Arthur Solvsberg entertained a few friends informally Friday afternoon. Christmas sewing and visiting occupied the hours, followed by a dainty luncheon. Itev and Mrs. O.

The informal debate, "Resolved, That More Fun May Be Had From Ice Skating Than Roller Skating," was upheld in the affirmative by Ethel Brown and in the negative by Pearle Boggess. Gladys Beaver read an original story, "A Winter Experience." A recitation by Esther Morsch was followed by the critic's report. Next Thursday an open meeting will be held. M. W.

"Resolved, That the I Girls Should Have Ititerclub Debatrs," was decided In favor of the negative. Miss Isabel Webb contributed an instrumental selection. The formal debate, "Resolved, That the One Session Plan is the Best," was upheld in the affirmative by Miss Bonnie Robinson and Miss Bess Prescott.

At the evening of bridge which followed the menu Mrs. William Milchrist, Mrs.

Albert Wakefield and Mr. Milchrist received the score awards. Folwers were sent to Mr, and Mrs. Kennedy by Mr. and Sirs.
