JOYCE HABER'S HOLLYWOOD'- Gloria Digs TV? The New Perry Mason has Monte Markham as Perry, with Harry Guardino, Sharon Acker, Albert Stratton and Dane Clark playing Hamilton Burger, Delia Street, Paul Drake and Lt. Tragg. respectively.

The first case involves astrological horoscopes and an astrologer (Peter Mark Richman) who is murdered. Naturally, everybody has a motive. The curious element here is that Perry is a witness against his client and winds up cross-examining himself. For girl watchers, there are some tasty horoscope girls, in flimsy attire. It's all nicely contrived.

(ABC) The FBI returns for its ninth season of battling crooks, with a new man (Shelly Novack) joining Efrem Zimbalist Jr. on the Bureau team. First case involves a 84 million robbery which sets off a chain of FBI detective work. A tiny blood stain and a string of lucky guesses help them nail the gang and its clever mastermind. (NBC) The Wonderful World of Disney is back, and first offering is the "71 feature release, "The Barefoot Executive," which will be shown in two parts.

This is pretty silly, even for Disney, but maybe the toddlers will enjoy the story of the monkey who goes to work picking TV shows. A good cast is involved, but it's foolish stuff. 7-8 Channel 9) If the classical guitar turns you on, watch tonight's Evening at Pops. Christopher Parkening joins Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops on this week's program. (CBS) With Manntx and Barnaby Jones back to back.

CBS is calling these two hours the Mystery Double Feature. Mannix (Mike Connors) confronts a man (Alfred Ryder) who has visions and "sees" a murder or two, and Joe eventually concludes that it's all a plot to set him up as a murder victim. He must find out why and who. -Good action pads out this thin story. (NBC) A couple of musical specials are on NBC's schedule tonight.

First in The Very First Glen Campbell Television Special which was shot in England. Burt Reynolds, The Smothers Brothers, Sonny and Cher and ban joist Carl Perkins are guests. Perkins and Campbell have the highlight here, with their version of 'Dueling Banjos. "Glen also shows that he can play the bagpipes. It'sa typical variety show, with skits and sonss: and it's nice to have The HOLLYWOOD One of the greatest silent stars of them all.

Miss Gloria Swanson, will make her TV debut with one of tne greatest noisy stars of them all, Miss Carol Burnett. The date is Sept. 29, which marks the third Carol Burnett show of Carol's new and seventh season. Therein lies a tale. One of Carol's favorite take-offs last year had her portraying a silent film star, Nora Desmond or Gloria Swanson, in "Sunset Boulevard." Whereupon Carol received a "Dear Nora" fan letter from Gloria: It was signed "Norma," as in Gloria's actual first name in "Boulevard." Saying she loved Ms.

Burnett's impression of her, Ms. Swanson added: "I sing ask Sir Laurence Olivier, or Alan Jay Lerner. I dance ask Chuck Walters. I do pratfalls ask Chaplin or Mack Sennett. I am in California ask the FBI." He may or may not have asked the FBI, but Carol's husband and executive producer Joe Hamilton found Miss Swanson.

He phoned her, saying he had the dim hope that she might agree to appear on NBC's Burnett show. Miss Swanson reply: "Don't be foolish, darling. Of course I will. That's why I wrote the letter." On Monday I asked whether Richard Burton was in town last week with his latest femme. New York buyer Barbara Dulien.

I said that excellent sources told me they attended a party at the Bel-Air home of the Thomas Richard-sons, adding that none of the Burton set knew the Richard-sons and I asked "Who are they? help No sooner was the Bulldog edition on the newstands than I got help. First The literary Guild has a dual selection for November. It consists of Garson Kanin's "A Thousand Summers" and astronaut Buzz Aldrin's and the Times' Wayne Warga'9 'Return to Earth." "Earth," which is also being serialized by Good Housekeeping, deals with Aldrin's readjustment to life post-spaceshot. I'm sad to report that one of the new Hollywood's most delightful couples, Suzanne and Larry Turman "Graduate," White have separated. Suzanne's at their recently, beautifully decorated house in Brentwood (it was featured in Architectural Digest) Larry who's president of David Wolper Pictures has taken an apartment in West-wood.

A producer who asks that his name not be mentioned is preparing to sue Italy's extravagant, famous Dino de Laurentiis, $25 million). The cause: The producer says services renr dered for which he hasn't been paid. Meanwhile, Dino is. having his troubles with the Writers Guild West, as well, says Writers Guild spokesman Allen Rivkin: "Dino hasn't signed the minimum basic agreements It says In effect that a producer must pay per cent of the writer's salary (up to $100,000) to our pension fund. Dino was a non-signatory last year Then he signed, because he needed a writer: That's what usually happens.

But since the strike ended in June, he again refused to sign. He's not on our "unfair list' yet, but will be if he doesn't sign within the next few months. The "unfair list" means that no Guild member will work for the producer. Smothers Brothers back, if only for a short bit (ABC) The new season of Sunday Night Movies begins with a crackling '68 release, "The Detective." This is one of those tough cop things, starring Frank Sinatra and Lee Remick and a fine supporting cast. 8-9 (Channel 9) Masterpiece Theatre continues with its six-part dramatization of Henry James' "The Golden Bowl." In this segment, Amerigo and Charlotte's affair flourishes even under the eyes of their spouses.

Fanny (Kathleen Byron) assumes the responsibility of warning Amerigo about appearances and Maggie (Jill Townsend) finally begins to realize the damage she is inflicting on her marriage GLORIA SWANSON to call was publicist Bob A Drams, who reports, that Thomas Richardson is a stock broker with his own firm in L. Century City: Dahlgren Richardson. Mr. Richardson is a most eligible bachelor, a pal of Eddie Fisher, and has a stable of racehorses. John Macfarlane, the owner of Bowser Boutique in Beverly Hills, had something to add: "Mr.

Richardson has a girlfriend, Rita Gobel, who sometimes calls herself Mrs. Richardson (hence the Rita recently did some modeling for a mailer for me. Now about Burton: He was here. I took three Shih-tzus up to the Richardson's house last Tuesday, and Burton picked out one of them. I assume it was a present for his girl, but she wasn't there.

The Burtons had a Shih-tzu, but Elizabeth kept it." Poor Richard: He should have picked out two. And many thanks, Mssrs. Abrams and MacFarlane. Massey costar. (Part Four) (Repeat) (CBS) Barnaby Jones begins its first full season, now part of The Mystery Double Feature, with Buddy Ebsen as the skillful detective.

At one point, Barnaby is himself attacked by a cougar, played by the son of the cougar of the car com- mercials. This is a fair-to-middling story. (NBC) Steve and Eydie. On Stage stars those great singers, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, doing pretty much their Las Vegas show.

This was all taped at Caesar's Palace, in Las Vegas, except for one skit with Lucille Ball and Eydie trying to out-caf each -other. One good number: Steve and Eydie singing outside the hotel in and around the Palace's Romanesque fountain. They did this between 2 and 4 a.m.. to avoid gawkers.
