Susan M. (Duker) Haun, 78, of 91 Pleasant-view, Roslindale, member of a famous high-diving act in the 1920s. Mrs. Haun's group did a command performance for the queen of England in the '20s. She died Monday in Huntington General Hospital in Roxbury.

Mrs. Haun, a Boston native, broke into show business at 14 and in her late teens won the American Sea Beauty Contest, a forerunner of the "Miss America" contests. The high -diving act, known as "The Duker Sisters," included two sisters who survive her. They played county fairs and state expositions in this country for about 10 years. 11. McTiernan Teacher 30 years Philip R. a Boston teacher for 30 years and former commandant of Massachusetts Military Academy, died yesterday at Faulkner Hospital. Mr. McTiernan, of 19 Lorette West Roxbury, was a native of Boston nd a graduate of Boston University School of Education.

Before his retirement from the Boston school system in 1973, he was at Woodiow Wilson Junior High School teaching industrial arts. He served for five years during World War II as an Air Force officer, leaving in 1945 with the rank of captain. He rejoined Massachusetts National Guard that same year and was named commandant of the Massachusetts Military Academy in 1968, resigning in 1973 with the rank of brigadier-general. He was a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co. of Boston.

Mr. McTiernan leaves his wife, Eleanor (Schworcr); three daughters, Mrs. Lynda M. Francis of Mattapoisett, Mrs. Janet A.
