This year as in the past, Basil Rathbone assumes the part of Old Scrooge in the traditional per formance of Dickens' "Christmas Carol." "Stars Over Hollywood" will present, as a special guest, Cynthia, the six year old daughter of Basil Rathbone. This is Cynthia's first radio appearance with her father. Rathbone, star of the; show, will act as narrator, telling the famous story to his daughter, as well as playing the role of Scrooge.

The entire production is under the direction of Les Mitchell. Del Castillo conducts the "Stars Over Hollywood Orchestra" in the background music. The presentation of Dickens'! "Christmas Carol," at 3.30 p. preceding the annual two hour All Star Revue over CBS and WHP at 4 o'clock, which continues uninterrupted until 6 o'clock, rounds out a full schedule of feature programs in keeping with the season. Mitchell Choir On WHP Tonight Nothing fits the Christmas spirit more than good music and a firm believer in this adage is Kenny Baker, who presents special Christmas program on his "Blue Ribbon Town airshow ovei CBS tonight when he introduces as his guests, the famous Mitchell Boys Choir.

The Mitchell boys choir, under the direction of Dave Street, will render as their contribution to Baker's "Christmas Musicale," the widely known carol, "Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," and Irving Berlin famous "white Christ mas." Baker, who won the award as "Radio's No. 1 Tenor" as the re sult of his rendition of new and old musical classics, will feature! the favorite Christmas tune which is sung the world over, Adams' classic, Cantique De Noel, Shu bert immortal "Ava Maria in Latin, and the popular "Night; Before Christmas. Kate Smith Host To Aldrichs' on Christmas Eve Traditional Yuletime features of Kate Smith's program will be! repeated for her Christmas Eve audience, Sunday night, Decern ber 24, when top notch guests from the radio and music world visit Columbia's "Kate Smith Hour' (WHP. 7:00 8:00 p. All the members of the "Aldrich Family," which Kate introduced on the air a few years ago, will be heard in a special sketch on the Christmas Eve visit.
