Kent Memorial Clinic for aged screen actors and actresses. The ground breaking, it is an nounced by Jean Hersholt, Fund president, will be part of the af ternoon's ceremonies to be held at the Motion Picture Country House in California's San Fer nando Valley.

It will also be the first meeting at the Country House, a $400,000 paradise for aged performers, which was dedicated in 1942. One of the highlights of the dav's festivities will be the pre sentation by Hersholt of a scroll to screen star Robert Young for his 12 appearances the largest bv any star on CBS' "Screen Guild Players." Often called the Hollywood stars own program, "Screen Guild Players," heard on CBS Mondays, 10 to 10.30 p. m. EDT, has yielded more than a million dollars to the fund. The stars receive no fee for appearing on the program.

The money they would ordinarily receive goes into the fund and all the stars donate their services generously. During the meeting on July 7, Hersholt, CBS' "Dr. Christian," will be inducted for his tenth term as president of Motion Picture Relief Fund, Inc. "Screen Guild Players" has been heard over since January. 1939.

'Silver Wedding' To Be 'Theatre Of Today9 Drama "Theatre of Today" presents "Silver Wedding" on July 13th over WHP at 12 noon. It tells the story of Myrt and Sam Hobbs, who own the grocery store in the pleasant little town of Cedarville. They have lived here for over twenty years and are as much a part of the town as the post office and barber shop.

They have been working hard year after year out, with little time for pleasure, and hardly any to observe wedding anniversaries. It is small wonder that Myrt is surprised to learn that Sam has planned a trip for their twenty fifth wedding anniversary. Sam has worked out all the details of a trip to the mountains for Myrt. But Myrt, who recalls her happy days as a child spent at Sea Harbor and has always wanted to go back, assumes they are going there. Sam hesitates to dampen her enthusiasm and she immediately writes for hotel reservations, buys a new bathing suit, and tells everyone about their forthcoming trip.

Bryan, Comedy Master On 'Forever Ernest' As Duke, Jackie Coogan's side kick in "Forever Ernest," over WHP, Monday at 8 p. Arthur Q. Bryan has added another outstanding characterization to his long gallery of radio portraits. Perhaps his best known crea tion is that of Doc Gamble on the Fibber McGee and Molly" pro gram. The character was scheduled as a one time visitor to Wistful Vista, but Bryan's comedy ability has made the explosive medico a weekly visitor.

Another outstanding Bryan comedy character was that of Waymond W. Wadcliff, the lisp ing little man on the Al Pearce show. As Duke in "Forever Ernest," Bryan plays the part of a small town drug store hanger on. He is always on hand to help Ernest out of his multiplicity of difficulties. Duke's methods are invariably grandiose and bizarre, but the bumbling Ernest followr them as if hypnotized.

To Duke's credit, it must be said that he always solves the difficulties by the same methods.
