Season the shoulder, outside and inside. with salt and pepper. . Make pineapple stuffing. Fill the pocket in the roast with the stuffing. Sew or skewer edges together. Place roast, fat side up, on a rack in an open pan. Do not add water. Do not cover. Roast in a slow oven (300 degrees F.) until done. Allow about 40 min - lutes per pound! for luaiHiitr. Mrs. Mary Gothie, of 30 Brown street, was presented with the Bronze Star Medal, awarded posthumous ly to her husband, the late Lt. Daniel S. Gothie was captured at the fall of the Philippines and held in various prison camps. La,ter he was placed aboard a Jap freighter enroute to Japan, but lost his life when the ship was torpedoed off the coast of China.
