Swatara Twp. at Lemoyne. Middletown and Camp Hill con tinued to hold their one two positions at the top of the Lower Susquehanna Conference while Lower Paxton vaulted into third place as all ten teams in the cir cuit saw action last night. Coach Johnny Yovicsin unbeaten Blue Raiders won their tenth straight, sixth in loop play, outsconng Swatara in every pe riod to register a 54 29 victory at Oberlin. Camp Hill prevailed over the entire route to turn back the visiting New Cumberland quintet, 42 12.

Lower Paxton staged a last quarter rally to win 31 26, over the invading Highspire five. Sus quehanna topped Lemoyne, 39 29, and Hummelstown beat Enola, 38 26. Stipe and Kleinfelter paced Aiiacaetown with ten points each but top scoring honors in this game went to the Eagles' Scheib who netted eleven. The Raiders tallied at least 12 points in every period and were at no time press ed as Coach Yovicsin inserted eleven players during the game Bill Clapp hit the cords for 17 to lead Camp Hill to victory. The Lions roared to a 16 1 lead at the first quarter and New Cumber' land failed to tally a double decker until the last two minutes of the second session.

The Tigers were limited to three over the route. A big 15 6 bulge in the third stanza brought victory to the Hummelstown Bulldogs who bat' tied the Enola Panthers on even terms throughout a 13 13 first half. Bricker continued his fine play for Hummelstown as he led his team to victory and scored 11 points. Enola's Conklin, however, was high scorer with an even dozen. Trailing 11 13 at the close of the first half Highspire rallied in the third to take the lead but the down river club faded in the final session as the Lower Paxton Rangers surged to the front with six field goals and a free toss.

Kepler took scoring honors in this game but the timely shooting of Thrush and Mabry helped the cause considerably. The Susquehanna Indians led in every period to register their win at Lemoyne. Brick er's eight twin pointers earned him top scoring1 honors as the Indians wrapped up the verdict with a 10 4 third quarter. Swatara Twp. I Middletown G.

Timekeeper, 6 21 218 Bell Two Maryland horsemen already ruled off the track for life in connection with the fatal shooting of. a race horse, last night were fined total of $450 on charges of cruelty to an animal. Magistrate David B. Dunker fined Frank Buehler $250 and Maurice Peters $200 on the charges preferred by the Maryland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. He dismissed a second charge of "wilfully, maliciously interfering with a horse used for racing," which is a felony under Maryland law.

The Maryland Racing Commission suspended the two for life last fall after a hearing on the death of the horse Saguro at, Laurel last November 21. Testimony from the hearing introduced tonight related: "That in the afternoon of November 21, last year, a gun was held by Buehler at the time it went off; that it was loaded with salt and that it went off. That the horse was wounded, that it ran and broke its leg and later was destroyed." Both men pleaded innocent and Buehler insisted he intended to fire the gun in the air to scare the horse in the event it refused to break out of the starting gate.
