MR. AND MRS. BURRELL H. BARRY, JR. Baughman Memorial Methodist Church of New Cumberland was the scene at 8.30 o'clock, July 19, of the marriage of Miss Ruth Jo ann Lessig, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Edwin K. Lessig, Ashland, to Burrell H. Barry, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Burrell H. Barry, York Haven, R. D. 2. The ceremony was performed by the Rev.

Dr. Rowland R. Lehman, Miss Mary Edith Harris was at the organ and Miss Louise Hettrichs sang. A reception was held at Stone hurst Farm York Haven. The bride's attendants were Miss Beth Enterline, Ashland, MR.

AND MRS. HARRY S. CARTER Mr. and Mrs. John G.

Hoover, 2136 North Fifth street, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Mary Ruth, to Harry S. Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Carter, 501 North Front street, Steelton, on July 19, in St. Luke's Methodist Church, Okla homa City, Okla.

Dr. William Wallace, performed the ceremony. Mrs. Carter was graduated from William Penn High School and is employed at the Mechanicsburg piaval Supply Depot. Mr.

Carter was graduated from Steelton High School, and served 5 years with the Army Air Force. He is now associated with Civilian Aeronautic Administration and assigned to a C. A. A. station in Gustavous, Alaska.

iCarolyn Hemmerle Tells Marriage Mrs. Carolyn Hemmerle. 515 Muench street, has announced the marriage of her daughter, Miss ftlayne fa. Hemmerle, to Donald Leach, son of Edward Leach, ndgeton, N. J.

The ceremony was performed uly 28, in Elkton, Md with the Kev. R. J. Sturgill officiating. Mr.

and Mrs. Jack King, cousins the bridegroom were the at endants. Mrs. Hemmerle also at ended the ceremony. Mr.

and Mrs. Leach spent sev ral days in New Jersey on vedding trip. Mrs. Leach is a graduate of William Penn High School. Mr.

and Marion Fitzgerald of this city, ushers. The bride is a graduate of Ash. land High School and Bard Avon School Baltimore. She is employed by the Pennsylvania State Police, Mr. Barry attended Pennsylva nia State College for 2 years and served 39 months in the Army.

His last assignment was as a first lieu tenant in the Office of the Chief Surgeon, General Headquarters in the Pacific area. He and his bride will live at York Haven R. D. 1. Tells Betrothal, Nuptial Plans The engagement of Miss Margaret J.

Paul, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Joseph B. Paul, 333 Ninth street, New Cumberland, to James A. Romberger, son of Mrs. Maude Romberger, Pitman, has been announced.

The wedding will take place in the Covenant Presbyterian Church, August 16, at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. Paul W. Johnston performing the ceremony. Wedding music will be given by Mrs. Jerome Shirk, organist and Mrs.

Mark Miller, soloist. The flower girl and taper lighter will be Mrs. Miller's daughters, Mary Lou and Sally Ann. Mrs. Warren E.

Ulsh will be matron of honor and the bridesmaids, Mrs. Edward Corcoran and Miss Mary Ann Dickey. Best man will be the bridegroom's brother, Harold Rombergej, and the ushers will include: Frank Paul, brother of. the bride, and Ralph Romberger, brother of the bridegroom. There will be a reception at the church, after which the bride and bridegroom will leave for the Poconos.

On their return, they will live in Pottsville. Miss Paul, a graduate of New Cumberland High School, is em ployed as a receptionist in the law firm of McNees, Wallace and Nunck, Harnsburg. Mr. Romberger is a graduate of Hegins High School and Pennsylvania State served 3 years in the Army including 2 years in the ETO. He is a teacher of agriculture in the Cressona High bchool.

Davton Girl Wed To Army Veteran Miss Laura Werdt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Werdt, Dayton, and Wallace Leo Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Miller, Muir, were married Saturday evening, July 19, at 8 o'clock in the Dayton Evangelical Church.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and the double ring ceremony was performed by Kev. (J. S. Lingle. Miss Elva Burger and Miss Marian Culton pro vided the music.

The attendants were Miss Shirley Travitz, Miss Janet Bixler, Miss June Wert and Miss June Hand. Connie Leo MiL ler was the flower girl and Jan Evans, the ring bearer. The ushers were Walter Harner and James Taylor. Mrs. Miller attended Williams town High School.

The bridegroom attended Porter Townshirj Hieh School. He served in the Medical Corps in Italy. Mr. and Mrs. Mil ler will reside at Dayton.

MR. AND MRS. ROBERT L. SMITH, who were married in the Nagle Street Church of God, July 12 by the Rev. B.

F. Keck ler. Mrs. Smith was the former Miss Dorothy Jane Gross, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
