Victor Mature Stars in 'Lux9 Kiss of Death The savage and gripping melo drama, "The Kiss of Death," will be the next presentation of the Lux Radio Theatre.

Victor Mature, Richard Widmark, and Coleen Gray, of the oiiginal film cast, will brought to the air waves to recreate their screen roles. William Keighley is the producer of the full hour dra matic program presented Monday, January 12, at 9 p. (EST) over WHP. A starkly rea'listic story, "The Kiss of Death" is a lurid tale of tough underworld characters. "Nick Bianco" (Victor Mature) is caught holding up a jewelry store and sent to Sing Sing when he "takes the rap" for his con federates.

While there he learns that a crooked lawyer who promised to take care of his wife (Coleen Gray) and two young daughters has cynically ignored them causing Nick's wife to commit suicide. After a few years behind the bars worrying about his children Nick receives an offer of a parole if he turns state's evidence. Desperate for a chance to see his daughters, Nick turns stool pidgeon on a loose killer (Richard Widmark) and obtains his release. Despite Nick's evidence, the gangster receives a "not guilty" verdict. With the hoodlum on the loose and bent on revenge Nick is faced with the problem of either hiding with his family, accepting protection of the law, or going out to get the murderer himself.

Lou Silvers and his orchestra will provide the musical back ground for the show. Although the station has been covering preliminary developments in news periods, the actual Farm Show series direct from the scene gets underway Sunday afternoon with a preview of events to follow. Starting Monday when the doors open, and continuing throughout the week, WHP will be on the air several times daily to report on all events and to interview leading farm figures.

To provide adequate facilities for "on the scene" reporting an extensive technical arrangement has been worked out by which, stemming off of WHP's main terminal, pickup lines will be maintained to all important centers of activity, including the mammoth arena.
