Mark Warnow and his orchestra provides the music. 6 Workshop9, at New Time on WHP Sunday "Portrait of Jennie," Robert Nathan's puckish fantasy built around the life of a painter, has been adopted for radio by George D. Griffin for presentation on "Columbia Workshop" Sunday. With this broadcast, "Columbia Workshop" moves to its new Sunday afternoon broadcast time, 2.30 to 2.55 p. over WHP.

Although Griffin has written several unsold radio plays, "Portrait of Jennie" is the first script he has had accepted for radio production and it came at a time when any cheerful news was gratefully received. In a wire to CBS headquarters in New York, Griffin said, "Just home from hospital where I emerged from ether to find first script accepted by Workshop." Twenty seven years old and a graduate of Northwestern University, Griffin has been teaching piano at the University of Wichita, in Kansas, by day, and writing radio plays by night. His other writings, mostly for relaxation, have been confined to book reviews and music criticisms. Griffin has long felt "Portrait of Jennie," a potentially great radio play, and finally, when no one else did anything about it, decided to try a hand at it himself. The radio play is directed by Earle McGill and produced under the supervision of William Spier.

Ransom Sherman entertains his studio audience before his broadcasts with feats of magic. He con fesses, however, that he picked up these tricks from his brother, a talented amateur magician. AIR NURSE 3r Blue eyed Ann Shepherd, star of the WHP Columbia network, "Joyce Jordan Girl Interne" series, is a veteran actress of radio, stage and screen. She is a Chicago girl and received her first radio offer while a high school student..
