Whiteman of Milbrook, to Robert Brewer Hopkins, son of Dr. and Mrs. Andrew Hopkins of Madison, will take place at 8.30 o'clock tonight in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev, Mmot Morgan officiating. The bride will be given in marriage by her father, Miss Betty Whiteman, her sister will be maid of honor and her bridesmaids will be Miss Helen Hopkins, sister of the Iridegroom, of Madison, Mrs. Edward H.

Morgan of Princeton, N. and Miss Edith Keeney, Greenwich, 'Richard F. Thews of Washington, D. will be best man and ushers will be Edwin J. Seder of Wilmetter, I1L, Richard W.

Townsend of Cleveland, and Edward H. Morgan of Princeton, N. J. The bride is a graduate of Ward Belmont Junior College, Nashville, and of the Katharine Gibbs School in New York. The bridegroom, a graduate of the Engineering Schcol of the University of Wisconsin, is employed as a research engineer in the Naval Ordnance Laboratory in Washington.

D. C. After a short trip they will live in Washington. Double Wedding In Enola Church South Enola Evangelical Church was the scene at 8 o'clock yesterday of a double wedding, when Miss Mabel Rowe, of Enola, became the bride of Paul E. Gam ber, and Miss Mary Houser, of Camp Hill, R.

D. 1, became the bride of Lee Gamber. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John Biggs, pastor of the church, and there were no at tendants. The bridegrooms are the sons of Mrs.

Pearl Gamber, Mechanicsburg, R. D. 4, and of Elmer Gamber, West Fairview, The former Miss Rowe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.

O. Rowe, 216 Cumberland road, wore a street length frock of aqua blue crepe with a matching felt hat and a corsage of talisman roses. She was graduated from Enola High School and has been employed by the Bell Telephone Company. Paul Gamber is employed by the Penn sylvania Railroad and he and his bride will live at 1543 North Fifty fifth street, Philadelphia. The former Miss Houser chose a blue and white printed frock and wore navy accessories and a corsage of white sweetpeas and pink roses.

Lee Gamber is employed in the Enola yards of the Pennsylvania Railroad and he and his bride will live at Mechanicsburg, R. D. 4 Both couples left immediately after the ceremony for a short wedding trip to New York City where they will spend a few days. Blind Aid Will Buy Defense Bond The Auxiliary to the Dauphin County Branch of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind will purchase a $300 Defense Bond with the proceeds of the concert given recently at the Forum by' blind artists, it was announced at Friday's meeting of the executive board at the Y. M.

C. A. The bond will be added to the: Mary E. Phillips Memorial Fund, set up to carry on work among the blind in Dauphin county. Mrs.

Oscar G. Wickersham announced that nineteen new members have been enrolled and Mrs. J. P. Gallagher presided.

Pollyanna Party The Iris Girls' Club of the Women's Benefit Association held a Pollyanna party and covered dish supper Thursday evening at the home of Miss Betty Coss, 308 Muench street. Reese was graduated from the New Cumberland High School and the Polyclinic Hospital Nurses' Training School. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Lewis C. Manges, pastor, before the altar which was banked with white and pink glad ioli, palms and ferns. Miss Rose Parkhill, church organist, played the wedding music.

The bride, who was unattended. wore a pbwder blue wool crepe frock and a matching felt hat, with black accessories and a cor sage of white sweetpeas and pink roses. A reception at the Reed home for members of the immediate families, followed the ceremony and Mr. Trullinger and his bride are at home at 1537 State street, Mrs. Trullinger, who is em ployed at the Farm Bureau Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, Paxtang, was grad uated from Susquehanna Town ship High School and from Cen tral Pennsylvania Business Col lege.

Mr. Trullinger was graduated from John Harris High School and the Harrisburg Academy and employed at the Evangelical Press, Bible Class Has Monthly Meeting The Swope Memorial Bible Class of the Fifth Street Methodist Church, taught by Mrs. C. WEST SHORE: Township Retains Present Tax Rate East Pennsboro township super visors last night retained the pres ent six mill tax rate, and discus sed the raising of wages for town ship workers. A contract was awarded for 22,000 gallons of paving material to Daniel B. Krieg, Harrisburg, at 14c a gallon.

Defense Meeting More than 40 air raid wardens, watchers, firemen and auxiliary police of New Cumberland attended a meeting last night in the William H. Nauss Post No. 143, New Cumberland American Legion, home. The session was conducted by Burgess P. B.

Lyman, chairman of the New Cum berland Council of Defense and Jesse H. Stone, chief air raid warden. First Aid Course A new course in first aid will be started by the Camp Hill Council of Defense Sunday from 2 to 4 p. m. in the old gymnasium of Camp Hill High School.

The class will be instructed by Rich ard Balmer, chief first aid in structor of the council of defense. Dog Owners Warned Burgess P. B. Lyman, New Cumberland, has instructed his police department to war on dogs running at large. Chief of Police Paul Myers said he has received many reports of damage to lawns Owners whose dogs are caught will be fined.

Draftees Inducted Thirty seven, men yesterday were sent by the Lemoyne Selec tive Service Board to Army Re ception Center for induction. More than fifty selectees were given final examinations today at the Harrisburg Army Post. Legion Plans Jubilee The William H. Rearick of Baltimore, a Red Cross nurse with rank of lieu tenant in the United States Army, was to have been one of the at. tendants but was ordered to join her medical detachment on the Pacific Coast and could not be present at the wedding. Mrs. Berghaus is a' graduate of the Milroy High School and of Central Pennsylvania Business College.

She is employed in the Department of Revenue at the State Capitol, and is a pianist and an organist. Mr. Berghaus, who is a descendant of one of the pioneer families of Harrisburg, attended William Penn High School and was graduated from McDonogh School, Baltimore. He is with the Harrisburg Steel Corporation. After a short wedding trip, Mr.

and Mrs. Berghaus will be at home at 122 South street. Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Taylor, Linglestown road have received a cablegram saying that their son Frederick C. Taylor has arrived safely in Cape Town, Africa.

Young Taylor is on his way to Cairo, going by way of the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea. He will be with the American Field Service as ambulance driver with the British Army in Lybia. The Women's Club of Olmsted Field, Middletown Air Depot, gave a luncheon yesterday in honor of Mrs. George H. Piercey and Mrs.

Richard C. Ruhf officers' wives, who leave soon to join their husbands at Macon, Ga. Forty "women were present at the luncheon which was followed by a meeting of the Olmsted Field Auxiliary to the Red Cross. Major Irwin I. Alper, post surgeon, the speaker, asked that ofifcers' wives who are registered nurses volunteer their services in the post hospital.

The Historical Society of Dau phin County will celebrate its an nuai Lincoln birthday onen house next Thursday afternoon for the first time in the new home, the former John Harris Mansion. Miss Mary McCreath, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCreath, Vib North Front street, is the com poser of two musical works presented at Vassar College Thursday evening on the opening program of the year by the Composers' Club.

The club is a student organization whose aim is to stimulate original musical composition by giving an opportunity for the per. formance and criticism of mem. bers' work. The best compositions are chosen for presentation at re citals for the college community and guests. Miss McCreath Fugue in Sharp Minor for piano was played by Ernst Krenek, well known Austrian composer and professor of music at Vassar, and her musical setting for a fragment from Anne Morrow Lindbergh's "North to the Orient" was sung by Miss Iorothy Leary of Hempstead, L.

a student. Miss McCreath, a junior, is majoring in music and is a pupil in rt olessor Krenek class in advanced composition. She is also active in extra curricular musical groups as song leader for her class, a member of the choir, and of the college sextet. Association to Discuss By Laws The Post Office Athletic Asso ciation and Beneficial Society will hold its monthly meeting tonight at 8 o'clock in Parlor in the Penn Harris Hotel. The association has revised its by laws and a general discussion and final action will be taken at this meeting to adopt these changes.
