This was decided by the board of works last night, when the full board was present. The coot of cleaning win be bald out of the ward appropriations and will be as follows i Bank street will be cleaned by P. Murphy for U.K7.M.

F. Guy, $3H and $300; Jas. Delaney. $2M aad M5S T. Landry.

tSOt and $71t Jas. Gordon, $530 and 17.60. The tender of Mr. Delaney for night washing at $264 waa accepted. The Metcalfe street waa divided Into two sections from Wellington to Maria and from Maria to Ann and separate tenders were asked for both night and day work.

The prices submitted were J. F. Guy, section 1 (Wellington to Maria), $35f and section 2 (Maria to: Ann), and $300 Jas. Delaney, section $20 and $250,1 section $455 and $466; T. Landry, section $302 and $351, section $374 and $703; James Gordon, section $379 and $821, section and $15.

J. Neville offered to do the 1 whole work fort $1,000. The tender of Mr. Delaney for night washing at $200 and $250 was accepted. It win cost $862 to wash Rldeau street every night.

The tenders were P. Murphy, both night aad day work. tl.Ml.M Jaa. Shea, $582 and $420 Jas. Delaney.

$712 and 500 T. Landry. $M2 and KM a Jas. Gordon, $1X8 and $360. The tender of Mr.

Shea was lowest, but the committee decided to give the work to Mr. Landry at $(62, the street to be washed every night. 4 For WeUlngton street there were three tenders for boy night and day work, Jas. Delaney $600 and $500. T.

Landry and $698, aad Jas. Gordon $95 and $240. I Mr. Landry will do the night work at $443. I Why Distinction Was Made.

The acceptance of these tenders means that the streets will not be sprinkled during the day. The reason; WeUlngton and Rldeau streets win not have the patrol system to the day Is because these streets are so wide that the cost would be too great.
