J. Weller, former Hub financier, 71 PELHAM, N-Y- Francis J. Weller, 71, formerly of Boston and for many years a specialist in investment management, died Monday after a brief illness. Mr. Weller, prominent in financial circles, was formerly associated with the First Boston Corp.

He formed his own firm in New York, Francis J. Weller and specialized in exploration and development of oil producing properties. Mr Weller was a graduate of Harvard College, Class of 1923, and was a member of the Harvard Clubs of New York and Boston. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josephine (Cote) Weller; two sons, Prof.

Richard H. Weller of the University of North Carolina and Francis J. Weller of Madison, N.J., and a sister, Miss Eileen Weller of Chestnut Hill. Services will be held tomorrow in Pelham, N.Y. R.

D. Haskell Maine services KENNEBUNK, Maine Richard D. Haskell of York street, Kennebunk, died yesterday in Portland Hospital. He was 46. He was the New England-area manager of the Amalie Refining a division of the Witco Chemical Corp.

of Bradford, Pa. He was born in Auburn, and was a graduate of Hebron Academy in Hebron, and of Tabor Academy in Marion, Mass. He was graduated from the University of Maine in 1949. Mr. Haskell was a veteran of World War II and a member of Acacia Lodge of Masons, Durham, and of the Unitarian Church of Kennebunk.

He leaves his wife, Patricia D. (Davis); sons, Cary Bradford D. and Richard two daughters, Georgianna and Zoe all of Kennebunk; a brother, Weston B. Jr. of West Simsbury, a sister, Mrs.
