Hardy, of Meredith, N.H., and West Newton, was a professor of film and theater arts who had been a leading force in developing the undergraduate and graduate film programs at Brandeis. During his career he had i been associated in produc tion and direction, or as a commentator and reporter with the ABC and NBC television networks, National Educational Television, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. and the Australian Broadcasting Commission.
