The overall program of construction in the South, Cove area includes a program of more than $75 million in new Dr. Calisti said the new dental school is the first in the nation to his knowledge to contain hospital beds. Total cost of the new building will be more than $12 million. Tufts already has raised $4,7 million in matching funds and is seeking another $1.3 million from alumni, citizens and foundations.

Construction of the new dental school, which will expand Tufts' ability) to train more' dentists and to provide more' clinic ser- vices to the community, is expected to begin next month.
