JAMES T. "JIM" HOLEMAN SAN ANTONIO Jim Holeman, 61, of Tivoli, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2010. He was born on Sept. 20, 1948 to Thomas C.

and Florence Holeman. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister. Lynn Holeman Dean; and niece, Cindy Carter. Earthman Funeral Directors Hunters Creek, Houston, 713-465-8900. MARY NINA GONGAWARE PASADENA Mary Nina Bourgeois Gongaware, born July 23, 1928, passed away Feb. 13, 2010 at the age of 81. She was born in Iota, La. to Raphaela Guilbeau Bourgeois and Leo Bourgeois.

Mary was the 12 of their 14 children. She is survived by one sibling, Ramona Leverett. Mary graduated from Crowley High and attended the University of Southern Louisiana, where she met her future husband, William Hugh "Bill" Gongaware. They married March 19, 1949 and were married 47 years. Bill and Mary eventually settled in Pasadena where they raised their five children.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and leaves behind their grieving children, Mary Margaret Driskell of Austin, Charles Gongaware and wife Bobbi of Porter, Donna Welder and husband Roger Welder of Victoria, Jennifer Gongaware and husband Jeff Glass of Austin and Annette Gongaware of Pasadena. Mary, a.k.a. leaves behind seven remarkable grandchildren, Jessica Hernandez, Sarah Driskell, Roger Welder, Philip Welder, William Welder, Lucas Glass and Ella Glass. Mary is also survived by two greatgrandchildren, William and Natalia, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She will be missed each and every day by her children and hopefully their lives will reflect her wonderful and loving sprit.

A rosary will be conducted by her niece's husband, Deacon Michael Hinyub, at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb.

11, 2010 at Silverado Senior Living Center in The Woodlands. She was born Sept. 29, 1921 in Victoria to Erle H. and Ethel Schneider. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles B.

Patterson; sister, Dorothy Marshall; brother, Erle H. Schneider and grandson, Peter Murray "PJ" Johns, II. Evelyn grew up in the Presbyterian faith and graduated from Patti-Welder High School in Victoria. She married Charles Bennett Patterson of Angleton in 1940. They lived in Victoria with their three daughters until 1960 when they moved to Port Lavaca.

Evelyn was confirmed in the Episcopal faith and was very active in the Grace Episcopal Church, Port Lavaca, where she served on the Altar Guild and was a delegate to Episcopal Diocesan Council. She moved to Houston in 1963. Evelyn continued her service to the Episcopal Church after their move to Houston, having also served as church secretary. In addition to her role as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was branch manager of Center Savings Loan, Sharpstown. Evelyn was a great.

cook, loved entertaining, enjoyed gardening and was a talented stained glass artist. She shared her love of travel, especially cruise vacations, with her husband, Charles, until his death in 1989. Evelyn was a devoted to her family, lovingly called "Mimi" by her grandchildren and great grandchildren She met Morris Ohsfeldt at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church Adult Sunday School Class; Morris was the Sunday school teacher. They were married in 1990 and honeymooned in Hawaii. She and Morris joined The Woodlands United Methodist Church in 2003 where they attended Sunday school class together.

Evelyn and Morris enjoyed world travel, especially the trips they took to The Holy Land and Rome. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Morris Ohsfeldt; daughters, Charlyn Marie Brown, and husband, Murphy, of Spring, Georgann Patterson Maggio, and her husband, Rick, of Jamaica Beach, Patricia Lynn Holloway, and husband, Bill of Houston; grandchildren, Morgan Earle Perkins, and wife Sharon, of San Antonio, Kelly Rene Maggio Hays of Panama City, Traci Lynn Maggio Bradly of Panama City, Cynthia Lynn Maggio of San Antonio, Jon Christopher Maggio of San Antonio, Erika Rene-Marie Maggio of Floresville, Anna Michelle Holloway of Houston, Marikate Georgann Maggio of Jamaica Beach, and Rian Beau Maggio of Floresville; great Jason Morgan Perkins of San Antonio, Joshua Bennett Perkins of San Antonio, William Ray Bradly of Panama City, and Gabriella Lynn Hays of Panama City, sister, Grace Lynette Dugat of Victoria; and numerous nieces, nephews, family loved ones, and special friends. She was born in Shelby County on Oct. 15, 1913 to parents, Macon and Mattie Grimsley.

Oneita graduated with a B.S. and M.S. degrees in elementary education from Texas University. She taught in Corpus Christi and Robstown School Districts for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles (Vaughn); and her brother, Sherman Grimsley of Shreveport, La.

Oneita is survived by her three sons, Samuel Gray (Janice) of Hartwell, Clark Gray (Machiko) of Bay City, and Glyn Gray (Linda) of Baytown; two sisters, Jencie Holland of Mooringsport, La. and Pauline Tinsley of Shreveport, La. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 11 great and one great-great-grandchild. Public visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

The accident happened Monday morning near Bonham, 64 miles northeast of Dallas. BENNY LEE MYERS ALVIN Benny Lee Myers passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010. Benny was born in Galveston and had resided in Alvin for 16 years.

He was a wonderful husband of nearly 38 years and a precious father and grandfather. He was an Eagle Scout, Troop 328. He was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and East Texas Baptist College. He taught school for three years before going to work for Chemicals for 27. years.

He loved the Lord and served him in many ways from Sunday school teacher to mission work all over the world. He was happiest when he was sharing God with others. He was a founding member of the NeuroCircle Brain Tumor Support Group at Methodist Hospital for 6 years. He is survived by his wife, Martha Fellers Myers of Alvin; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sonya Myers of Alvin; and two of the most wonderful grandsons any PaPa could ask for, Jeffrey L. and Kyle Myers of Alvin.

He is also survived by his father, Glynn I. Myers, and stepmother, Georgie Mae Myers, of Shiner; and brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Deanna Myers of Denver. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Ruth Myers; his brother, Glynn W. Myers; and his step-sister, Peggy Herder McGregor. He is also survived by brothers-inlaw and sisters-in-law, James and Debra Fellers, Elizabeth and Richard LeCompte, Edna and Danny Rehm, and Theresa and Ken Gibbs, and Beatrice Myers.

He is survived also by 14 nieces and nephews and 13 great-nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the NeuroCircle Brain Tumor Support Group. 30, 1918, in Hughes County, to the late Herbert and Olga Mae Smallwood. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and he was a landscaper. James is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wilson Smallwood of Victoria; daughters, Katherine Guidry of Arlington, and Barbara Morris of Victoria; six grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date.

DOROTHY L. PILGRIM BRENHAM Dorothy L. Pilgrim, age. 79, passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010.

She was born Nov. 26, 1930 in Brenham. to the late Charles and Ella Schomberg Goessler. She was a member of the Blyth Road Church of Christ. She was a retired secretary from Central Church of Christ and Victoria Christian School.

She was also a member of the International Society of Poets. She enjoyed writing and reading poetry. She loved her family with all her heart, and especially loved the time she spent with her grandson. She was very special to her family, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her son, David Roy Pilgrim and wife Debbie of Rockport; grandson, Roy C.

Pilgrim of Placedo; daughter-in-law, Hope Pilgrim of Placedo; sister, Ella Mae Schlechte and husband Wesley; and nephew, Rodney Schlechte, all of Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy W. Pilgrim; and her son, Ricky Charles Pilgrim. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Will McDonald, minister of Blyth Rd. Church of Christ officiating.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Serving as pallbearers will be David Pilgrim, Roy Pilgrim, Robbie Sparks, Louis Faltesek, Glyn Jolly, and Rodney Schlechte. Honorary pallbearers include Clyde Douglas and Wesley Schlechte. Louis was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Edna where his family also served. Louis attended public school in Edna. He was self-employed in the drywall industry for over 40 years. He once lived in Houston and Dallas; and while there, he helped drywall some of the most modest homes to the most prominent homes.

He loved what he did and was a perfectionist in his craft. Louis was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Some would even say that he was the fan. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and baking. He loved his church, his family, and his friends.

He was very young at heart. On Feb. 12, 2010, Louis transitioned into another life at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria. Those left to cherish his memories and life are two daughters, Nancy Hernandez and Brenda Meza; one son, Randy Hernandez; four sisters, Lilly Garza, Anastasia Garza, Mary Rojas, and Teresa Soto; two brothers, Joe Hernandez and Heno Hernandez; 11 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. The U.S. senator campaigned in Fort Worth on Monday with Dallas Cowboys great Roger Staubach.

She said he's known for coming from behind and inventing the Hail Mary pass, which is Hutchison "looking better all the time." Hutchison trails Gov. Rick Perry in a new poll conducted for five Texas newspapers, but the two could head into a runoff. During several appearances Monday, Hutchison unveiled her "Declare Your Independence" tour a two-week finishing kick to her primary campaign. It refers to Texas Independence Day on March 2, which also is primary election day. Hutchison contends Perry has trampled on Texans' rights to benefit his political allies..
