Margaret (Perkins) Herrick of Commonwealth a founder of the Boston Juvenile Court more than 60 years ago, who died Monday. She was 93: She devoted most of her life to child care and social services. Mrs. Herrick helped establish the world-famed Judge Baker Guidance Center here. In 1937 she founded the Girls Clubs of Boston.

She was concerned with the Women's Reformatory in Framingham and in the Lancaster School for Girls. During World War I she was instrumental in having policewomen on duty on the Boston Common. Mrs. Herrick was a founder of the Citizenship Training Group of Juvenile Court, and an active trustee for nearly 30 years. Judge Francis G.

Poitrast, presiding justice of the court, said, "Mrs. Herrick was one of Boston's outstanding citizens who dedicated her life to children ev erywhere- "Her passing will be a terrible loss to all of us in the Boston Juvenile Court." In 1964 she was presented the Honorable John Forbes Perkins Award for her dedicated service to children. Last September the Citizenship Training Group established a unit for the retraining and rehabilitation of delinquent girls and named it in her honor. Mrs. Herrick leaves a son, George T.

Rice, and a daughter, Mrs. Arthur T. Lyman, both of Westwood. SP4 Cann, 20, Of Carlisle; Rites Friday CARLISLE Full military honors will be accorded Army Sp4 Douglas A. Cann, 20, of South who was killed in action in Vietnam on July 2.

Sp4 Cann was a graduate of Concord-Carlisle Regional High School, Class of 1966, and enlisted following graduation. He was a member of the 11th Armored Calvary Division in Vietnam. He had been active in the Carlisle Boy Scouts and was chaplain of the Concord Chapter, Order of DeMolay. He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

George A. Cann, and a brother, Gregory. Military services will be held at 2 p.m. from Trinity Episcopal Church in Concord.
