UConn never again had good field position. Calascibetta scored on a one-yard plunge at 12:52, topping the victory. The win boosted B.U.'s record to 4-1-1 and gave the Terriers their first five-game unbeaten streak since 1949, when the late Harry Agganis was throwing footballs. UConn dipped to 3-4. "With the passing and the offense we showed today, we should definitely be harder for other teams to defeat," said Schmakel.

"The (Continued from Page 65) said "The thing that helped us today was that we saw Rucker being covered by a 5-foot-9 defensive back, coach Warren Schmakel "We ran Reggie on square-out patterns and Yet-ten hit him well." Rucker caught five passes, Yetten threw 16, completing 10. Three of them were for touchdowns. All of them were needed to offset running game, which, gained 349 yards. Halfback Bob Calascibetta and junior tight end Jack Cambest each scored twice for the Terriers. John Raf-lako, B.U.'s junior fullback, scored the fifth touchdown on a four-yard pass, which, in retrospect, probably -won the football game.

The pass came with two seconds left in the first half. Yetten, rushed on the play, barely was able to throw to Raflako, his safety valve. The big fullback took the pass, bounced off a few bodies, and leaped into endzone. The score gave B.U. a 14-10 lead at the half.

Without it, B.U. would have trailed, 10-7. Peter Petrillo, UConn's senior rollout quarterback, who had an exceptional day, brought his team back in the third period. He scored on a 51 -yard run, giving the Huskies a 17-14 lead. But that was their last lead.

Hichborn fumbled a Connors' pitchout on the Husky 32 to set up Michigan's sec- ond TD. Two plays later Hewitt, a junior fullback, took a quick pitch and went in from the 10. Stewart warmed up his throwing arm with a 15-yard touchdown strike to Mike Yankee midway through the third quarter. Ed Bailey, who booted five of six extra point attempts, made it 20-0. Then the the Chiefs revived the straight with three running backs bunched behind the quarterback, threw only three passes and rambled for 294 yards on the ground. While trying to undermine any offensive weapon the Chiefs might employ, the Raiders also hope their offense will offer more of a threat than two weeks ago. The Chiefs hold Hewitt Dixen, the league's leading rusher, to 38 yards, and Daryle Lamonica completed only 12 of 27 passes.

Dixen still leads the league with 580 yards and a 5-0 average while the Chiefs' rookie; Robert Holmes, is second with 499 yards and a 5.4 average. San Diego will throw its high powered offense, featuring John Hadl and Lance Alworth against Miami. The Chargers top the league with an average total offense of 415.7 yards a game. New York is coming off a game in which they inter- cepted five passes and recovered three fumbles, and the hapless Bills can't hope for anything less than Boston suffered. Winter driving is fast approaching, so be sure that your car is ky ready make "How do you beat a full house?" someone asked an Oakland Raider two weeks ago after the Kansas City Chiefs had upset the Raiders.

he replied, "you can do it with five of a kind nd you can do it with a Royal But you can't do it with a 4-3." The questioner was not a novice poker player trying to learn the rules of the game. He was, instead, trying to determine how a football team can solve a football full house, which is a new terminology for the old fashioned formation, the surprise weapon the Chiefs used against Oakland. The Raider, in answering, suggested it can't be done with the usual defensive formation which has four men on the line and three linebackers. Coach John Rauch of the Raiders has been pondering the problem all week in preparation for the rematch between the teams Sunday in Oakland. Rauch, however, also has had to worry about whether the Chiefs will use the gain.

Knowing the answer ii vital to the Raiders because they almost have to win to stay in contention for their Football League title. The third Western Division contender, Sin Diego, hosts Miami while Buffalo visits the Eastern Leader, New York, Denver is at Boston and Houston at Cincinnati.
