Tracks to Be Removed The Public Works Department has let the contract for removal of car tracks on llarvarrt between Commonwealth and Brighton and resurfacing of the roadway. This project was recently approved by the Council and work is expected to start next week. The tracks were abandoned by the Elevated when it instituted bus service on the Allston-Dudley line. Residents and merchants along the street have been working since that time to have them removed. Most of the tracks were removed during the war-time scrap drives, but thk section was untouched.

Police are I nvestigat log complaints from residents of the Cleveland Circle area about thieves breaking into their automobiles while they have been parked. Three owners reported spare tires had been taken from trunks of their vehicles. Police yesterday redoubled their efforts to apprehend the vandals responsible for placing traffic signs rin the porches of homes in the lenneuil section. This action was taken as police made a tour of the community and added at least a dozen more such signs to the col. lectIon they started Monday.

Residents complained that many of the signs were tossed on porches from a passing automobile, the noise awakening them. A section of Ringer Playground will he fixed by the Park Commission to accommodate the pre-school children of the, district, according to announcement yesterday.
