Centofanti was arrested at his home last night by a squad of officers from the state, Medford and East Boston police.

Lt. William Hanlon of Medford said that the East Boston man had been under suspicion in connection with Young's slaying for some i time. He said that officers found a handgun at Centofanti's address and it was being checked out as the possible Weapon used in the Young killing. Young's murder was listed as the 45th in a series of gangland killings that began in May, 1964. Centofanti and Young served time together at Wal-pole State Prison.

Young had been sentenced for passing bad checks and Centofanti was imprisoned back in 1955 for an armed robbery and a "shoot-out" with East Boston for the murder of Frederick W. Young, 38, of -Medford, whose bullet-riddled body was found off Mystic Valley pkwy. in that city Aug. 16. The court set Sept.

28 for a probable cause hearing. Because Centofanti was described as indigent, Judge Glaser appointed attorney Alfred Farese, of Everett, as his counsel. Farese, arguing for Cento-fanti's release on bail, told stores at 2.00 for the 90-day supply. 4 the court that the defendant has a serious heart condition. Judge Glaser commented that it is a well known fact that a "person held in custody is not put to any arduous labor." The judge added that Centofanti's being held in police.

Questioned as to a possible motive for the Young killing, Lt. Hanlon indicated that Centofanti and Young had a "falling out over money." 1 1 I Steincrohn on Health Hit Vf li Rheumatic Past Signal for Caution By DR. P. J. Your question, Mrs. gives me an excuse to jump on the platform and advise anyone with a history of rheumatic fever or rheumatic heart involvement to be sure to ask their physician to go into consultation with their dentist before undergoing any dental treatment. If they advise penicillin or other antibiotic preventative treatment before and after extraction, be thankful and accept it.

Medical and dental doctors do more for you when they Work hand in hand. DEAR DR. STEINCROHN: Sometimes we talk too much. About a week ago I took my young son to our dentist to have a tooth extracted. In the course of conversation I mentioned that Jimmy had had a bad case of rheumatic fever' last year.

His doctor said that he got a slight murmur of the heart out of it, but that it wasn't bad. Do you know what the dentist did? He refused to pull the tooth. He said he'd want to talk to Jimmy's doctor first, and that he thought it would be safer to hear, what he had to say about giving him penicillin treatment before and after the extraction. Jimmy's doctor is out of town for another week. Do you think we should wait? Or, better still, go to another dentist? Mrs.

C. Comment: Hold on to the dentist you now have. Be thankful you have a doctor who is well aware of the dangers of an apparently simple extraction in a patient who may still have remnants of his original rheumatic infection. For it is true, you must have heard, Mrs. that in some cases such a simple extraction may turn into a life-threatening situation by ALL ALUMINUM 44 i CARPORT OR PATIO With Ot A I 4- WOMEN'S SPORTSWEAR r.
