As it so happens, "Appointment in Berlin" is one of two filrns featuring Marguerite Chapman which opened in Boston yesterday.

Her role of a German girl in this melodrama of British espionage in the Nazi capital is of less than primary importance, although she is the love Interest and her final sacrifice enables the Underground to inform London that Hitler plans to invade Britain. Miss Chapman is nevertheless pretty and effective. Once again portraying an intrepid and faultlessly groomed secret agent George Sanders carries off the honors as an RAF Wing-Commander who, cashiered for bitter criticism of the Munich pact. wins a posthumous Victoria Cross for his espionage via radio in Berlin.
