But on this 1944 Globe All-Boston team one lad, John Hurstack, Dorchester High center, is the first hame arrived at by practically all selectors for a position on their teams, no matter how much territory is entailed. He makes, the city all-team for the second year running. The big lineman, who is 6 feet 2 inches tall, has been chosen captain by this correspondent and confrere Ernest Dalton, without the slightest hesitancy. Called upon by coach Bill Pendergast to fill in as a tackle on defense, Hurstack drew the encomiums of all coaches as "the best lineman in Boston schools for some time." No City-Wide Champion There wasn't any city-wide champion due in part to the curtailment of the English and Public Latin schedules because of rained-out affairs, although B. C.
