Thursday, May 25, at 7:30 day school. It was also during this time that he established a home for children at Houghs Neck. Later, Msgr. Dolan was secretary to the late Archbishop John J. Williams.

The Cathedral Young Men's Catholic Association was formed by him. He was pastor at St John the Evangelist Church, Hopkinton, when transferred there in 1908, succeeding the deceased pastor, Rev. Edward Cronley. In 1914, Msgr. Dolan came to St Gregory's, and during his pastorate has expanded the church so that it now has a grade school for boys and girls, a girls' high school and a convent housing the Sisters of Notre Dame, teachers of the school.

Msgr. Dolan celebrated his silver jubilee on May 26, 1918, when at St. Gregory's Church a solemn high mass was sung for him, assisted by his two brothers, the late Rev. Gilbert Dolan, O. S.

as deacon, and Rev. Bertrand Dolan, O. S. as sub-deacon. At the time, Rev Gilbert Dolan was a professor at St.

Benedict's College, Newark, N. and Rev. Bertrard Dolan was an Army chaplain at Camp Hancock, Augusta, Ga. The latter priest is now abbot of Benedictine Community at St. Anselm's, Manchester, N.

and was at the bedside of Msgr. Dolan when he died. On Dec. 31, 1936, Msgr. Dolan was granted that title by Pope Pius XI, one of six priests in the Catholic diocese of Boston so honored in recognition of the silver jubilee of the late Cardinal O'Connell as a member of the Sacred College of Cardinals.

Following this elevation to domestic prelate, Msgr. Dolan was honored with a special tribute in May. 1937. William beloved husband of Alice G. (McNamee) Mahaney.

EDWARD Sit Son Of WoRL 00 tne Beam. Joe Dinneen. Is Considered 'Test' by Ministers' Group A national organization of 4300 Protestant clergymen announced last night it is making a test case of the hearing this morning in Dorchester District Court on the alleged recent attack on three Jewish boys by eight Dorchester High School students in an "El" car. A joint statement issued in New York by Kenneth Leslie, chairman of the Textbook Commission of the Protestant, and William Ellis Davis, chairman of Ministerial Associates said: "The hearing at the Dorchester District Court in the case of alleged anti-Semitic violence is of national significance and therefore the ministerial regional action groups of the Textbook Commission of the Protestant in New York, Boston, Philadelphia. Chicago and other major cities, representing 4300 ordained Christian clergymen, wish to express their concern in this case and their hope that full justice will be done.

"Our own Investigation revealed that these anti-Semitic incidents are systematically organized and that failure to punish the offenders would act as encouragement to subversive groups and might precipitate a widespread physical violence throughout the nation. It is for this reason the Dorchester case is the test case for all of the United States and that we pray that God's will may be done by his human servants." 8:05 hmex Gardening tor victory.
