MEET GIOVAHA GOQDTHIGHS! Goodthighs is one of the best. He was so impressed with Jacky Bisset, who plays the bit, that he recommended her to his old friend Darryl Zanuck, chief of Twentieth Century-Fox. Zanuck promptly cast her in Two for the Road with Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney, then flew her to Hollywood where the studio has placed her in its new talent school. Daughter of a Scottish physician who practices in Reading, Jacky once had visions of becoming a nurse. But she went down to London one summer, worked as a waitress in an Arab coffee bar.

A photographer focused on her beautiful face, her shapely 36-24-36 figure, suggested modeling instead of table waiting. T'o date movie fans throughout the world have seen four James Bond films: Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger and Thunderbolt These four will gross approximately $140 million. Five years ago when a producer named Cubby Broccoli tried to get Hollywood to film the literary works of the late Ian Fleming, no studio would finance him. Broccoli finally raised $1 million from United Artists, shot his first and subsequent Bond films overseas.

A few weeks ago two additional Bond thrillers were completed one in Japan, starring Sean Connery in You Only Live Twice, the other in England. The one in England, entitled Casino Royale, cost an estimated $15 million, stars an unknown actor named Terence Cooper as James Bond, and during its 1 1 months of production earned the deserved reputation of being "one of the most screwed-up motion pictures in history." Casino Royale is an extravaganza which not only offers such star names as Peter Sellers, Trevor Howard, Deborah Kerr, David Niven, Orson Welles, William Holden, Ursula Andress and many others it also reflects the talents of six directors: John Huston, Joe McGrath, Bob Parrish, Val Guest, Richard Tal-madge and Ken Hughes. Casino Royale, like all Bond films, is jammed with beautiful, sexy, seductive dolls. One of the most appealing of the bevy is Jacky Bisset, 21, a striking auburn-haired British lovely. In Casino, Jacky plays the role of Gio-vanna Goodthighs.

Her big moment in the production comes when she stands in a hotel doorway dressed only in a man's shirt, cradling a magnum of champagne. "I'm Giovanna Goodthighs," she murmurs sexily to Peter Sellers. Naturally he wets his lips, rolls his eyes. IT'S A GIMMICK The name, Giovanna Goodthighs, is a gimmick just as the name Pussy Galore (played by Honor Blackman) was a gimmick in Goldfinger. In fact all James Bond films are gimmick-ridden.

And this is precisely why producer Charles Feld-man had such a trying time with Casino Royale. He bought the screen rights to Casino Royale 1 2 years ago. It was the first of Ian Fleming's books. It contained most of the gimmicks of the subsequent Bond adventures murderous attach cases, secret electronic devices, souped up cars, sophisticated weapons. Only Feldman did nothing with the property.

As later Fleming books were screened, Feldman found his original property dated. Thus, when he finally began production last year, he had to develop an entirely new series of James Bond gimmicks. Feldman is convinced that Giovanna Jacky Bisset, now in talent school, appears in Two for the Road with Audrey Hepburn. Jacky quickly accepted, soon discovered the close relationship between modeling and film production. She applied for movie work, got bits in You Just Kill Me, Cul-de Sac, The Knack and now Casino Royale and Two for the Road.

Pamela Danova, in charge of Twentieth Century-Fox's new talent school, says, "It's a little too early to tell how much talent Jacky has. But talent is not particularly necessary for success in this business. What Jacky has is a very photogenic and interesting sex appeal. When she enters a room, men suddenly pay attention. If she can transmit that quality to the screen, and I think she can, I believe she will be on her way." Unmarried, unattached, an outdoor girl who prefers blue jeans to silk, Jacky, currently living in a Hollywood hotel, says: "The studio is preparing me for a large screen test.

That's why I'm working, studying, rehearsing. If I make the grade fine. If not, they'll ship me home, and my sole boast to fame will have been that once I played Giovanna Goodthighs." L.S. Auburn-haired British lovely, Jacky Bisset, is Giovanna Goodthighs in new James Bond epic. Porod Oct.
