The Boston Globe Saturday, August 7, 19G5 14 DEATHS DEATHS DEATHS DEATHS DEATHS Obituaries Harold P.Williams, Retired Justice, 82 Julius C. Morse Men's Clothier Julius C. Morse, longtime president of Leopold-Morse Company, manufacturers and retailers of men's clothing, died Friday at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He lived at the Hotel Bea-consfield with his wife, the former Jeska (Swartz), who became famous as an opera star witth the Boston Opera Company. Born in Boston, he was a work in the case, including the examination of witnesses, As assistant district attorney, Justice Williams made trips to police departments to give in struction on court procedure and the preparation of cases.

On Jan. 9, 1925, receiving in structions by radio in a pioneer broadcast from Washington, Justice Williams took the oath of office as United States at- torney in Boston. Justice Williams accepted the appointment with one provision that he select his own staff, free of politics. In that job, he became an outspoken foe of rum runners and charged that ineffective enforcement of prohibition laws resulted from the acceptance of bootleggers' money by officials. Justice Williams was the state's chief Federal law enforcement officer when he was selected by the late Gov.

Al- van Fuller in 1926 for appointment to the Massachusetts Superior Court. He served in that court until 1947 when former Gov. Robert Bradford elevated him to the high court. Reputed for his fairness and his humaneness, Justice Wil liams once expressed belief that the legal profession was falling below "old standards" by displaying excessive haste in the disposition of court cases, Efforts seem to be on the disposal of cases, rather than on the methods of trial which meant so much in the old days," he was quoted Justice Williams was a lifelong Republican. He was a member of the Masons, the BFIEN In Dorchester Aug.
