ROCKWOOD MIDDLEBORO The Plymouth Superior Court ruling this week that ordered the town to restore almost S25.000 cut from the school budget may result in the town's having to give its municipal workers a raise. Finance Committeeman Richard J. Picone said Wednesday he had heard reports that the municipal workers, whose raise request was turned down at the March town meeting, will resubmit the request at a special town meeting Sept. 19. They will reportedly argue that since school personnel are getting pay raises this year, they should also.

The court ordered the town to restore $24,743 of the cut from the school budget by the town meeting. The funds will provide raises for the superintendent, principals, teachers and secretaries. The court also ordered the town to pay a penalty of 25 percent of the amount of the pate in Opportunity llSnT jrin'V. benefit gram. To enjoy a career with a friendly company.

The municipal employees' pay raise request was opposed by the Finance Committee and the Middleboro Property Owners Assn. It was defeated by an overwhelming vote of the town meeting.
