M.D. When will the self-appointed brave people of this world develop an understanding and sympathy for their more fearful brethren? It is especially difficult for the scared ones when members of their own family look down their noses at them.

For example: Dear Dr. Steincrohn: I have a problem concerning water and very high bridges over I am very afraid water. them and I much, cross over on them. I've felt this way as long as I can remember. I have been accused of being yellow, and worse.

When I get close to such a bridge shiver all over. When I look at the vast body of water with nothing around it like trees, shrubs or other things. I feel like I'm going to be swallowed up by water. My husband accuses me of ruining his life because I won't go in a boat or go over the high bridges. He is very unhappy over it and he makes 11 miserable for me.

Is there any advice you can give? Mrs. N. COMMENT: Your husband is fortunate if he doesn't have some kind of phobia big or little himself. Most of us are subject to some kind of fear. In vour case it is fully developed, and may be a combination or small bundle of apprehensions.
