and Mrs. Gill Sudderth entertained their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H. C.

Rice, and children, Johnny and Suzan, of Brookhaven, with a picnic at Lake Texoma Sunday afternoon. The honorees and guests spent the afternoon in swimming and boat riding. Those attending the function included Mr. and Mrs. Mack Morton and children of Morton.

John Weiser of Dallas. A business session was held during the afternoon. CYF Plans Cake And IceCream Supper The Christian Youth Fellowship of the First Christian Church will have an old-fashioned homemade ice cream and cake supper in the church basement Tuesday. Aug. 23, beginning at 7:30 it is announced by Mrs.

Ruth Bono, co- sponsor of the group. Mrs. Bono said that the CYF had pledged $300 to the missionary work of the district and this ice cream and cake supper would be one means of raising the sum. The CYF Sunday night made contribution of $150 to the fund being raised by the church to establish a mission. A check for that amount was given the church.

Free Kindergarten To Open On Sept. 6 The Bonham Free Kindergarten will open at 9 o'clock the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 6, for the 15155- T.6 term. Mrs. Margaret Marston has announced.

The kindergarten is located at the corner of South Bill and Fifth streets. Mrs. Marston said that anyone desiring information on enrolling a child in the kindergarten could call her at 22-M or Mrs. John Kincaid at lie-M. Methodist WMS Meets Monday The Missionary Society of the Congregational Methodist church met Monday night at the church.

"How to Pray for Missionaries," was the lesson subject, with Mrs. Henry Smith, president, in charge. Mrs. Roy Walker and Mrs. Henry Smith gave the devotional, from Isiah and First Samuel.

Others on the program were Mrs. Lee Brent. Mrs. C. E.

McDowell. Mrs. M. H. Ferguson, Miss Bertha Hiller, Mrs.

A. Mo- Lain. and the Rev. A. M.

McLain. Horizon Club to Sponsor Benefit The Twilight Horizon club has announced plans to sponsor a benefit dance for teen-agers only Saturday night, August 20, at the Golf Club. Mrs. Raymond Fogle is the club advisor, and parents sponsoring the club and dance are Mrs. H.

L. Baldwin, Mrs. Jessie Bono, and Mrs. Dennis Bales. The proceeds will be used for the club's service project.

Clark White returned this week from Oklahoma City where he had gone to visit his daughter, Mrs. Noble Watts, who has been seriously ill. lie reported that she Is much improved. Mrs. Jack Vaught accompanied by Mrs.

Earl Parkhill, is in Commerce today attending a speech clinic. Mrs. Vaught is the special education teacher at Bailey Inglish grade school for children with speech impediments and handicaps. Mr, and Mrs. Sam Tadloek have returned home from Fort Worth where they visited their daughter, Mrs.

Juanita Kizer. Mr. and Mrs Farris Pirtle anvl daughters, Farrie Lou and Ann Carolyn, from Norwalk, ire visiting friends and relatives in Bonham and around this area of North Texas this week. Miss Lynda Barnard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Dan Barnard, has returned from a visit to Tulsa, with the Johnnie Harden family. While there the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Harden, Jo and Pat and Lynda Lou. went to Noel, last weekend.

Misses Jo Harden and Pat Harden from Tulsa. are guests this next week of grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Harden on East 4th street, and uncle, Jack Harden, on East 2nd street.

Corley that the regular session will open on Oct 10 Trenton is slated to field a football team this full for the first time in a number of years. A. Adcocks Return From Vacation Trip Missions Will Be Held in Bonham Business Plants Mr. and Mrs. A. Adcock have recently returned from an extended visit in California with their son, Bill Adcock, and wife of Huntington Park.

Calif. While spending two and a half months in California. Mr. and Mrs. Adcock toured much of the state, including Hollywood, lx)ng Beach, and other places of interest.

In Lancaster, they visited Mrs. sister, Mrs. Jack Jones, who lives near the desert, and her aunt in Los Angeles, whom she had not seen in 15 years. They visited Mr sister, Mrs Minnie McMullen, and his brother. Stanley, lm lives in Oregon, came to Los Angeles for a visit with the family.
