THE BOSTON DAILY GLOBE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1951 1 -Vf TwentySix Shoppers' World I Customer Parks Close to Stores By VIRGINIA BRIGHT Parking will be no worry whatsoever for the customer at Shoppers' World in Fram- ingham. Not only will there be plenty of. free parking space but the customer will also en joy that increasingly rare privilege of parking very near his objective. On an average day, the cus tomers will walk an average only 70 feet to an entrance rampway. Shopper convenience is the basic consideration of the park ing area just as it is of the shop ping center itself.

For this reason, the parking level is placed mid way between the two store levels. The customer approaching the OsEHLl2 GDC center from the parking area comes to a covered ramp which runs either to the first level or the higher level. It was also for the express purpose of cutting car-to-store walking distance that 12 conveniently located entrances connect the parking area to the center itself. For the same reason, the park ing area completely surrounds the store building. It represents a basic ratio of 3.5 times the amount of parking World roads cover a total of 50 acres.

The private roads total 2.2 miles. Eight entrances and exits connect the parking area to the principal highway of the district including Routes 30, 9, 126 and 27.
