Some wood shavings, a tew tools, and workers in khaki gave evidence that the new Robeson County Courthouse is officially still 'under Nonetheless about 250 persons filed into the second floor Superior Courtroom Friday afternoon to witness the swearing in of eight young attorneys and to get a first glimpse of the soon-to-be- opened $2.4 million structure.

By general consensus spectators were impressed with both; The eight new lawyers represents the largest class to be sworn in as officers of the court in Robeson County. The class was also unusual in its make-up: two.women, one Black, two Indians, three white men. The women, Catherine Biggs Arrowood and Adelaide Behan, were both introduced to members of the. local bar association as well as to the court by Mrs. Arrowood's father, attorney I.M.

Biggs. A graduate of Lumberton High School, Mrs. Arrowood received both her bachelor and legal degrees from Wake Forest University. She is employed by the Anti-Trust Division of the North Carolina Attorney. General's office and lives with her husband, Joseph Arrowood, in Raleigh.

Ms. Behan, 25, also received her legal studies at Wake Forest. Her undergraduate work was done at St. Boneventure. The daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Austin G. Behan, Erie, Pennsylvania, she is employed by Biggs. Also introduced by Biggs was another new employee, Horace Mitchell Baker III, son of Dr. and Mrs.
